There is something truly special about beginning a new month in the presence of God.

Today, we gathered to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, giving thanks for the gift of a new month and for the countless blessings He continues to bestow upon us. It was also a joyful occasion as we warmly welcomed our new aspirants during their Acceptance Ceremony, the beginning of a new journey of faith and formation.

Every journey starts with a single step, and every calling begins with a heart that is willing to listen. As our new aspirants begin this chapter, may they continue to grow in faith, humility, and love, allowing God to guide them throughout their formation and prepare them for the path He has planned for each of them.

As we begin this month together, may we also be reminded that God continues to call each of us in different ways โ€” to love, to serve, and to become instruments of His peace in our families, our community, and wherever He leads us.

โ€œWhoever serves Me must follow Me, and where I am, there also will My servant be.โ€ โ€” John 12:26

May God bless our new aspirants, our parish family, and everyone as we begin this new month with grateful hearts. May St. Anthony of Padua continue to guide us all as we grow in faith and service.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

With hearts full of gratitude and joy, the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua in Barbaza celebrated the Solemnity of Seรฑor San Antonio de Padua, bringing together parishioners, devotees, visitors, and guests in honor of our beloved patron saint.

The celebration began with a solemn procession through the streets of Poblacion, Barbaza, where devotees walked together in prayer and devotion. As the image of Seรฑor San Antonio was carried through the community, many offered their prayers, intentions, and thanksgiving, making the procession a beautiful expression of faith and love for our patron saint.

The Fiesta Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Frence Niรฑo Palermo and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Raymond Orfelia, Rev. Fr. Archimedes Alingas, Rev. Fr. Joseph Baรฑa, Rev. Fr. Sanny Esparar, Rev. Fr. JB Salvan, Rev. Fr. Jose Tubianosa, together with our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ramon Navallasca.

This yearโ€™s celebration carries even greater significance as our parish marks its 430th founding anniversary. For more than four centuries, the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua has remained a place where faith has been nurtured, traditions have been preserved, and generations of Barbazeรฑos have found strength, hope, and guidance in God.

As we reflect on this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œ430 ka tuig kang grasya: pagbalikid nga may pagpasalamat kag pagpadayon nga may pagpanibag-o,โ€ we are reminded to look back with grateful hearts for the countless blessings God has bestowed upon our parish throughout the years, while continuing to move forward with renewed faith, commitment, and purpose.

The celebration was also a beautiful testament to the unity of the parish community. Families, church organizations, ministries, altar servers, students, devotees, and visitors gathered as one, sharing not only in the festivities but also in the faith that has long united the people of Barbaza. It was a heartwarming sight to witness different generations coming together, continuing a tradition that has been passed on through the years.

As we celebrate the feast of Seรฑor San Antonio de Padua, may his life and example continue to inspire us to live with humility, compassion, generosity, and unwavering trust in God. May the blessings of this yearโ€™s fiesta remain in our hearts, and may the faith that has sustained our parish for 430 years continue to flourish in the generations to come.

On the eve of the feast of Seรฑor San Antonio de Padua, the parish community gathered for the Vesperas Mass and Procession in honor of our beloved patron saint. As the celebration of our parish fiesta draws near, the evening became a meaningful moment of prayer, thanksgiving, and spiritual preparation.

The Holy Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Kevin Samillano, Rev. Fr. Ariel Semilla, and Rev. Fr. Niel G. Pollicar, together with our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ramon Navallasca. Surrounded by fellow devotees, families, and friends, the community came together with grateful hearts, reflecting on Godโ€™s abundant blessings and steadfast presence throughout the years.

Following the Mass, the procession journeyed through the streets of Poblacion, Barbaza. Church ministries, altar servers, SAHSBI students, and countless parishioners walked together in reverence and devotion, accompanying Seรฑor San Antonio as prayers echoed through the community. It was a moving sight to witness people from different generations walking side by side, each carrying their own stories, intentions, and gratitude, yet united by a common faith and love for our patron saint.

Beyond its beauty and tradition, the procession served as a profound reminder of the bonds that connect us as a parish family. In every prayer offered, every step taken, and every candle carried, one could see the enduring faith that has been passed on from one generation to another and continues to flourish in the hearts of the faithful.

On the eve of our parish fiesta, we give thanks for the opportunity to gather as one family in faith and devotion. As we look forward to tomorrowโ€™s celebration of the Solemnity of Seรฑor San Antonio de Padua, may the faith, devotion, and unity witnessed throughout this evening continue to inspire us in the days ahead. May the example of our beloved patron lead us closer to God and encourage us to live lives rooted in humility, service, and love.

Day 8 of our Novena Mass, and itโ€™s one of those quiet, simple mornings again. We gathered, prayed, and just took a moment to slow down and be present again.

Todayโ€™s reflection on โ€œSt. Anthony, Ark of the Testamentโ€ feels like a gentle reminder that Godโ€™s Word isnโ€™t just something that we hear during Mass, but something that we bring with us after we leave church. In the way we talk to others, how we treat people, and even in the small decisions we make every day.

Itโ€™s really not about doing big things, but about staying faithful in the little ones. And somehow, thatโ€™s what makes this journey feel real.
