DON’T NORMALIZE BEING LATE TO CHURCH.

Being late to church should not become something we casually accept or proudly normalize.

We can make time for work.
We can make time for appointments.
We can make time for entertainment, friends, shopping, and countless other things.
But when it comes to worshiping God, suddenly we have no time?

Church is not merely another appointment on your schedule. It is an opportunity to honor God, hear His Word, worship with His people, and prepare your heart to receive what He has for you.

Being early is not about impressing people or proving that you are more spiritual than others. It is about giving God your best—not whatever time is left over.

If we constantly arrive late, we should honestly examine our priorities.

Don't give God the leftovers of your time. Give Him your first and your best.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness.” — Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

Come early. Prepare your heart. Be ready to worship.

🔥 God deserves more than our leftovers. He deserves our priority.

🐍 WHEN FELLOWSHIP BECOMES GOSSIP

“Some Pastors Feast on Gossip and Call It Fellowship”

Key Text: Ephesians 4:29 KJV
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying…”

📖 INTRODUCTION — NOT EVERY CONVERSATION IS FELLOWSHIP

Pastors and church leaders need fellowship. Paul himself valued faithful companions in ministry. But sitting around a table with Bibles open does not automatically make a conversation spiritual.
A discussion can begin with:
“I'm concerned about Brother…”
and slowly become:
“Have you heard what he did?”
A prayer request can become a news report. A ministry concern can become character assassination. A private failure can become public entertainment.

From a Dispensational perspective, our practical instructions for the Body of Christ are especially found in Paul's epistles. Paul repeatedly warns believers about evil speaking, corrupt communication, backbiting, whispering, foolish talking, and strife.
📖 2 Corinthians 12:20; Ephesians 4:29–32; Colossians 3:8
Right division does not merely teach us how to divide prophecy from mystery. Sound Pauline doctrine should also divide godly speech from gossip.

You can understand dispensational charts and still have an undisciplined tongue.
You can preach grace and still speak gracelessly about another pastor.
🔥 PREACHING TRUTH:
IF OUR DOCTRINE IS SOUND BUT OUR SPEECH DESTROYS PEOPLE, SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH OUR WALK.

1️⃣ THE POISON OF GOSSIP
Gossip Pollutes Fellowship
📖 Ephesians 4:29; Colossians 3:8; 2 Corinthians 12:20
Paul specifically mentions:
“…whisperings…” — 2 Corinthians 12:20
Gossip may appear harmless because no weapon is visible. Yet words can damage reputations, friendships, families, ministries, and churches.

A. POISONOUS Communication
📖 Ephesians 4:29
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth…”
“Corrupt” carries the idea of something unwholesome. The question is not merely:
“Is what I'm saying technically true?”
We should also ask:
“Does this conversation have a legitimate godly purpose?”
Truth can still be communicated sinfully.

B. PRIVATE Whispering
📖 2 Corinthians 12:20
Paul lists “debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings…”
Whispering often hides behind secrecy:
“Don't tell anyone I told you…”
If information must constantly travel under a veil of secrecy, examine why it is being shared.

C. PUBLIC Damage
📖 Romans 14:19
“Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.”
One careless conversation can spread through an entire congregation.
🔥 PREACHING LINE:
GOSSIP IS OFTEN POISON SERVED IN THE CUP OF “CONCERN.”

2️⃣ THE PRETENSE OF GOSSIP
Gossip Disguises Itself as Spiritual Concern
📖 Philippians 1:15–17; Romans 16:17–18; Ephesians 4:15
Gossip rarely introduces itself by saying:
“Let's destroy somebody's reputation.”
It usually wears respectable clothing.

A. CONCERN becomes CURIOSITY
📖 1 Thessalonians 4:11
“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business…”
There is a difference between information you need to know and information you simply want to know.
Not every problem in another person's life requires your investigation.

B. SHARING becomes EXPOSING
📖 Ephesians 4:32
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another…”
There are legitimate occasions when serious misconduct must be addressed. Biblical accountability is not gossip.
But accountability seeks correction and protection.
Gossip seeks circulation and attention.

C. FELLOWSHIP becomes FEEDING
📖 Galatians 5:15
“But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.”
What a striking warning!
Church fellowship should feed believers with truth—not feed upon believers' failures.
🔥 PREACHING LINE:
WHEN “CONCERN” BECOMES CURIOSITY,
WHEN “SHARING” BECOMES EXPOSING,
AND WHEN “FELLOWSHIP” BECOMES FEASTING ON FAILURE—STOP THE CONVERSATION.

3️⃣ THE PROBLEM OF THE PASTOR'S TONGUE
The Preacher Must Practice What He Preaches
📖 1 Timothy 3:2–3; Titus 1:7–9; 2 Timothy 2:24–25
Pastors are not spiritually exempt from sins of speech.
A man may preach for an hour on Sunday and destroy another man's reputation in ten minutes on Monday.

A. PREACHING requires PATTERN
📖 1 Timothy 4:12
Paul told Timothy:
“…be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation…”
Notice: “in word.”
A preacher's private speech should agree with his public preaching.

B. PASTORING requires PATIENCE
📖 2 Timothy 2:24
“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men…”
Pastoral ministry is not domination.
The servant of the Lord must possess gentleness and patience even when correcting error.

C. POSITION requires PURITY
📖 1 Timothy 3:2
A bishop must be “blameless.”
This does not mean sinless perfection. It describes a life that does not legitimately give occasion for serious reproach.
The pulpit should never become a platform for personal revenge.
🔥 PREACHING LINE:
THE SAME TONGUE THAT PREACHES GRACE FROM THE PULPIT SHOULD PRACTICE GRACE AROUND THE TABLE.

4️⃣ THE PURPOSE OF GODLY SPEECH
Our Words Should Build, Not Break
📖 Ephesians 4:29–32; Colossians 4:6
Paul gives us a powerful standard:
“…that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” — Ephesians 4:29
Before speaking, ask:
Will this minister grace?

A. EDIFY the BELIEVER
📖 Romans 15:2
“…for his good to edification.”
Our words should strengthen others spiritually.
Don't become famous for discovering everyone's weaknesses.
Become useful in helping believers grow.

B. ENCOURAGE the BROTHER
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:11
“…edify one another…”
People already carry battles we may know nothing about.
Don't make yourself another battle they must fight.

C. EXTEND GRACE to the BROKEN
📖 Colossians 4:6
“Let your speech be alway with grace…”
Grace is not merely a doctrine we defend.
Grace should characterize the way we speak.
🔥 PREACHING LINE:
DON'T USE YOUR MOUTH TO DESTROY SOMEONE CHRIST DIED FOR.

5️⃣ THE PRACTICE OF GRACIOUS SPEECH
Replace Gossip with Grace
📖 Ephesians 4:31–32; Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:12–14
Paul does not merely tell us what to remove. He tells us what should replace it.
Put away corrupt communication—and replace it with edifying communication.

A. PAUSE before Speaking
📖 Ephesians 4:29
Before repeating something, ask:
Is it true?
Is it necessary?
Is it edifying?
You do not have to repeat everything you know.

B. PROTECT rather than Publicize
📖 Galatians 6:1
When a believer falls, the goal should be spiritual restoration:
“…restore such an one in the spirit of meekness…”
Correction sometimes requires confronting sin. But confrontation and gossip are different.
Correction speaks to solve a problem.
Gossip speaks to spread a problem.

C. PRAY rather than Pronounce
📖 Colossians 4:2–3
Paul repeatedly asked believers to pray.
When another pastor struggles, our first instinct should not be:
“Who else knows?”
but:
“How can I biblically help?”
🔥 PREACHING LINE:
IF YOU CANNOT HELP THE SITUATION BY REPEATING IT, MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP REPEATING IT.

📣 CALL TO ACTION — THREE “G's”

1️⃣ GUARD YOUR TONGUE
📖 Ephesians 4:29
Don't allow every thought to become a sentence and every story to become a conversation.
Guard what you say.
Guard why you say it.
Guard whom you say it to.

2️⃣ GIVE GRACE
📖 Colossians 4:6
“Let your speech be alway with grace…”
Speak truth, but speak it graciously.
Correct error without enjoying someone's humiliation.
Grace does not compromise truth; grace controls the spirit in which truth is communicated.

3. GROW IN SOUND DOCTRINE
📖 2 Timothy 2:15
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God…”
Right division should produce more than knowledgeable preachers.
It should produce mature believers.
The more we understand God's grace toward us, the less appetite we should have for destroying others with our tongues.

🏁 CONCLUSION — DON'T CALL GOSSIP FELLOWSHIP

Pastors can sit around a Bible and still gossip.
Pastors can call it:
“Fellowship.”
“Concern.”
“Discernment.”
“Prayer request.”
“Ministry update.”
But changing the label does not change the behavior.

Paul's standard remains:
📖 Ephesians 4:29
“…that which is good to the use of edifying…”
Before you speak about another pastor, preacher, church member, friend, or family member, ask:
Am I trying to restore—or merely report?
Am I trying to help—or merely hear more?
Am I ministering grace—or spreading disgrace?

💡 FINAL THOUGHTS

1️⃣ POISON — Gossip corrupts Christian fellowship.
📖 Ephesians 4:29
2️⃣ PRETENSE — Gossip can disguise itself as concern.
📖 1 Thessalonians 4:11
3️⃣ PROBLEM — A preacher's private speech must agree with his public preaching.
📖 1 Timothy 4:12
4️⃣ PURPOSE — Christian communication should minister grace and edification.
📖 Ephesians 4:29
5️⃣ PRACTICE — Replace gossip with gracious, restorative speech.
📖 Galatians 6:1

🐍 DON'T LET GOSSIP WEAR THE NAME “FELLOWSHIP.”
LESS WHISPERING—MORE WORD.
LESS BACKBITING—MORE BUILDING.
LESS EXPOSING—MORE EDIFYING.
LESS GOSSIP—MORE GRACE.
PREACH GRACE. SPEAK GRACE. LIVE GRACE.

James 1:2-3 (KJV)

Dili tanan pagsulay kay para pildihon ta.
Sometimes, God allows difficult seasons to strengthen our faith, teach us patience, and bring us closer to Him.

Padayon lang.
Bisan dili nato masabtan karon ang purpose sa atong giagian, trust that God is working.
What feels heavy today may be shaping our faith for something greater.

The trial may test your faith, but let it build your faith. 🙏

💍✨ From Ministry Partners to Lifetime Partners✨💍

With grateful hearts, we celebrate the journey of Bro. Torino Nacua Jr., BRC Youth President, and Sis. Rica Mae Sarmiento, BRC Media Head and Bible Quizzers’ Coach, as they prepare to be united in holy matrimony on September 18, 2026.

Both have faithfully served the Lord through the Bible Quiz Ministry and the BRC Youth Council, inspiring many young people through their dedication, leadership, and love for God's Word. Today, we rejoice as God writes another beautiful chapter in their story, one that began in service and continues in a covenant of love.

"He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord."
– Proverbs 18:22

May your marriage be filled with God's grace, unwavering faith, and abundant blessings as you build a Christ-centered home together. ❤️

Congratulations, Bro. Torino and Sis. Rica Mae!
