If you're leading praise and worship in church but your heart is heavy, your mood isn't right, or you're holding anger or unforgiveness, it's important to examine your heart first. As a worship leader, we don't just lead with our voice—we lead with our spirit.

How can we expect the Holy Spirit to move freely through us if we're carrying unresolved bitterness or anger? Worship begins with a surrendered heart. Before leading others into God's presence, we should first allow Him to work in us.
