The Holy Mass was solemnly offered with deep devotion and gratitude as the faithful gathered to celebrate the Feast Day of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in St. Mangga. United in prayer and faith, the community honored our Blessed Mother, seeking her loving intercession, protection, and guidance for every family and every heart present.

Through songs, prayers, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the occasion became a beautiful reminder that in every struggle and uncertainty, we can always run to our Mother who continually leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

May Our Mother of Perpetual Help continue to watch over us, strengthen our faith, and remind us that we are never alone in life’s journey.

We gathered in unity and devotion for our Monthly Holy Hour, held every first Friday of the month. In the quiet presence of the Most Blessed Sacrament, we entered into a sacred time of prayer, reflection, and adorationβ€”offering to the Lord our thanksgiving, intentions, struggles, and hopes.

Through moments of silence, Scripture, and communal prayer, we were reminded of God’s constant love and mercy. In a world filled with noise and distractions, this Holy Hour became a space of peace where hearts are renewed, burdens are lifted, and faith is strengthened.

As we continue this beautiful devotion, may we always find time to pause, listen, and encounter Christ who waits for us in the Eucharist. May His Sacred Heart inspire us to live with greater love, humility, and service in our daily lives.

JESUS LEAVING THE 99 TO FIND 1 SEEMS SO POINTLESS, UNTIL THAT ONE IS YOU

At first glance, the image of Jesus leaving ninety-nine sheep just to search for one feels impracticalβ€”almost unreasonable. Why risk the many for the sake of one? It doesn’t follow the usual logic of efficiency or numbers. But everything changes when you realize that the β€œone” is you.

In the parable of the lost sheep (see Gospel of Luke 15:4–7), Jesus reveals a different kind of logicβ€”the logic of love. For Him, no one is insignificant, no one is replaceable, and no one is ever beyond being sought. The Shepherd does not count worth by majority; He loves personally, intentionally, and completely. The one lost sheep is not just a number missing from the groupβ€”it is someone deeply known and deeply loved.

We often feel lost in our own waysβ€”through sin, confusion, brokenness, or even quiet distance from God. At times, we may think we are too far gone or not important enough to be noticed. But this parable reminds us that the Lord never stops searching. He steps out, calls out, and patiently looks for us, not with frustration, but with compassion.

And when He finds us, He doesn’t scold or condemnβ€”He carries us home with joy.

That’s why what seems irrational becomes deeply personal. The Shepherd’s decision only makes sense when love is at the center. Because in God’s eyes, you are never just β€œone of many”—you are the one worth finding.

Indeed, the Lord is our Shepherd; in Him, nothing is lacking (cf. Psalm 23).

HAPPY GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY!

Today the Church celebrates the loving care of Jesus Christ, who reveals Himself as the Good Shepherdβ€”One who knows His sheep, calls them by name, and leads them with patience, mercy, and constant love. This day is rooted in the Gospel proclaimed on April 26, 2026β€”John 10:11–18β€”where Christ reminds us that He is not a hired hand who abandons the flock, but the Shepherd who willingly lays down His life so that we may have life in abundance. His care is personal and faithful; He walks with us in every season of life, guiding us even when the path is unclear.

Good Shepherd Sunday is also closely connected to the Church’s prayer for vocations. It reminds us that Christ continues to call people todayβ€”to marriage, priesthood, consecrated life, and service in the Church and society. His voice is often gentle, heard in silence, prayer, and reflection. Yet in a busy and noisy world, it can be difficult to notice. That is why this day invites us to pause, go to Mass, and listen more carefully to His Word. In the Eucharist, we encounter the Shepherd Himself, who feeds us with His Body and Blood and strengthens us for the journey ahead. To receive Him is to allow Him to guide our thoughts, decisions, and actions.

This celebration also reminds us that we are not alone. We belong to a community of faith, a flock walking together under the care of one Shepherd. He does not lead us in isolation but gathers us into communion with one another. In following Him, we find not only direction but also unity and purpose. Even in moments of weakness or confusion, Christ remains near, calling us back with patience and love.

Today is an invitation to trust more deeply in His guidance. Whatever challenges we face, the Good Shepherd remains present, leading us step by step. May we open our hearts to His voice, remain faithful in prayer, and continue to follow Him with hope and courage. And as we celebrate this Good Shepherd Sunday, may our lives reflect His care for others, becoming instruments of His love in the world.
