Did you know?

Embracing a tree is often called “tree hugging” or forest therapy (shinrin-yoku in Japan).
Spending time with nature has been linked to reduced stress, calmer breathing, and a greater sense of peace and connection.

Trees also release “phytoncides”natural compounds that plants produce which researchers have studied for their possible effects on relaxation and well-being.

For St. Francis of Assisi, nature was more than just a beautiful view, it was a reminder of God’s love. He called the sun, moon, animals, and all creation his brothers and sisters because he saw God’s presence reflected in them.

So when we embrace a tree, we are reminded: creation is not just something to use, but something to respect, protect, and praise God for.

“Praise be You, my Lord, through all Your creatures.” — St. Francis of Assisi

Pax Et Bonum!

There are moments when we realize that we cannot fix everything by our own strength. We carry wounds, failures, disappointments, and burdens that only God’s grace can heal. Yet the Lord never stops reaching out to us. His grace restores what is broken, renews what is tired, and gives hope to hearts that feel lost.

“Lord, restore us with Your grace.” This is our humble prayer: that You may transform our hearts, cleanse our intentions, and help us become better versions of ourselves. Teach us to trust in Your mercy and to begin again each day with faith.

Lord, restore our relationships, our families, our dreams, and our commitment to follow You. May Your grace always remind us that with You, renewal and new beginnings are possible. Amen.

Don’t Take Anything for Granted

Sometimes we become so busy chasing what we still want that we forget to appreciate the blessings already in front of us. We take for granted the things that quietly make our lives beautiful, the presence of our family, the people who love us, the simple moments we share, and even the gift of good health.

We often realize the value of these blessings when they are challenged or taken away. A simple conversation with our loved ones, a meal together, the strength to wake up and continue our day; these are not ordinary things. They are gifts.

To live with gratitude is to recognize that every day is a blessing. Let us not wait for loss before we learn to appreciate. Let us love our family while we still have time, take care of our health while we still can, and thank God for the blessings we sometimes overlook.

Because the things we consider “normal” today may be the very things we will miss the most tomorrow. 🙏🏻
