Text: Revelation 20:11-15
Proposition: We must assure our salvation in Christ.
Why?
Principles:
I - v.12 - All will face God's judgment
A. v.11- A great white throne (v.11)
B. v.11- Earth and sky fled from His presence (v.11)
C. v.12 - The dead, great and small standing before the throne
- The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books
Illustration: every minute, hour, day, month, year - everything that is done is recorded
Application: 3 sins a day

II - v.13 - All will be judged on the basis of their actions
A. Mind, word, works
B. v.13 - The sea gave up the dead that were in it and death and hades gave the dead that were in them
-Revelation 6:8
C. v.13 - Each person was judged according to what he had done

There is no venial sin or mortal sin nor purgatory
Application:
v.13 - God will not judge based on wealth, poverty, wisdom, rank, power, religion, popularity - God will base on the work.

III - v.15 - If the name is not found in the book of life it will be thrown into hell

B. Luke 10:20 - However do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven

Conclusion:
-Man is afraid of COVID but is not afraid of God because he continues to sin
-Only Jesus Christ can save us
-Stop sinning. Trust and obey Jesus Christ
