Raised in the church and active in its ministries, he hoped to earn God’s favor in this way—until the Lord made him understand, as he listened to a sermon last Sunday, that salvation is purely by His grace and mercy. It does not depend on his own works, but on the finished work of the Lord revealed in the Gospel. Praise His name for saving Bro. Eli Mallari. Soli Deo Gloria!
