Pasalamat Festival Pasalamat Festival of Balingasag Misamis Oriental It was organized to give thanks to the bountiful harvest bestowed upon Balingasagnons by our Patron Saint Sr.

The Pasalamat Festival of Balingasag was conceptualized in 2006 and started its First Street Dancing Competition in January 16, 2007 with the help of the Local Government Unit of Balingasag Misamis Oriental headed by the Founding Chair. Sto. Nino being an agriculture (farm and the sea) based municipality hence called "Pasalamat Festival"

It was also a way of offering tribute to Sr. Nino for prote

cting Balingasag and its locals from distructive calamities, drive away bad omen and spirits, and bring good health, prosperity, peace and stability to the growing municipality. In 2013, the Local Government Unit of Balingasag ceased to support the Annual Street Dancing Competition the reason the Pasalamat Festival Committee transferred the co sponsorship to Confradia del Santo Nino de Cebu Balingasag Chapter under the auspices of the Sta. Rita Parish headed by its Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joel Oga SSJV.
