With grateful and joyful hearts, the Baler District proudly announces the missionary call of a faithful young servant who has chosen to dedicate his time, talents, and testimony to the Lord.

𝗘𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗮 — 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

Elder Soniega will begin his missionary service at the Philippines Missionary Training Center on April 17, 2026, as he prepares to go forth and proclaim the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. He is currently serving as accompanist in Baler Branch, Baler Philippines District.

The District Presidency expresses deep gratitude for your willingness to dedicate yourself to serving Heavenly Father’s children and honor your choice as you begin your service as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Accepting this sacred calling opens the way for you to invite others to Come Unto Christ and to bless the lives of individuals and families who are ready to embrace the restored gospel. Your commitment reflects both devotion to Heavenly Father and a willingness to bless His children in meaningful, lasting ways.

With grateful hearts, the Baler District joyfully announces the missionary calls of three faithful young men who have chosen to consecrate their time, talents, and testimonies to the service of the Lord.

These future missionaries will begin their missionary preparation at the Manila Missionary Training Center on March 20, 2026, as they prepare to go forth and declare the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Their willingness to serve stands as a powerful testimony of faith, obedience, and love for the Savior. As they answer the call to labor in the Lord’s vineyard, they carry with them the prayers, support, and confidence of the Baler District. Truly, they are among those who have heard the Lord’s voice and responded with faith, saying, “Here am I; send me.”

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔

The Baler District Returned Missionaries and Young Single Adults gathered on December 13, 2025, for a special RM & YSA Night—an evening dedicated to remembering the faithful service of missionaries from the district and strengthening the rising generation as they prepare to serve the Lord.

The activity honored the faithful service rendered by our returned missionaries, whose sacrifices, testimonies, and dedication have strengthened individuals, families, and units—not only in the missions where they served, but also within the district. Their examples stand as a powerful reminder that missionary service shapes not only those who are taught, but also those who serve.

The night also carried a hopeful message for the future—encouraging the rising generation to prepare for missionary service and inviting members of the district to support, uplift, and stand behind those who will soon answer the call to serve. As the Savior taught, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few” (Matthew 9:37). Together, as a district, we continue to labor in love and faith.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝑱𝒐𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉, 𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔
On December 13, 2025, the Primary children of the Baler District gathered for a joyful Primary Christmas Party; a celebration centered on the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Through songs, presentations, games, and shared laughter, the children were reminded that Christmas is more than gifts and decorations; it is a season of love, kindness, and gratitude for the greatest gift ever given. As they learned of the Savior’s humble birth, their bright smiles and simple faith reflected the light of Christ, reminding everyone present that “of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).

May the joy felt during this celebration continue to inspire our children to follow Jesus Christ and share His love throughout the year.

In the Book of Mormon, the prophet Helaman taught his sons, "It is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation" (Helaman 5:12).

On September 17, 2025, the youth of Baler District gathered for our District Doctrinal Mastery Activity with S&I Coordinator Brother Rodel Fernandez. Through scripture study, learning, and testimony, the youth strengthened their foundation in Jesus Christ and His doctrine, striving to live by His word in daily life.

During the Baler District Conference held this September 7, 2025, President Jonathan V. Halos was called and sustained as the new Second Counselor in the Baler District Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

President Halos previously served faithfully as Branch President of the Dipaculao Branch, where he was released on June 15, 2025.

On June 7, 2025, the 𝐵𝑎𝑙𝑒𝑟 𝐷𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑡 𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑔 𝑆𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑒 𝐴𝑑𝑢𝑙𝑡 of 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐶ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑢𝑠 𝐶ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝐿𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟-𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝑆𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠 brought hope and joy of learning to the students of Detailen Elementary School in Brgy. Detailen, Maria Aurora, Aurora.

From Kinder to Grade 6, learners and their parents felt the warmth of this inspiring outreach—made even more meaningful through the generous efforts of both the Baler District YSA and TonieFoodie TV, who provided school supplies to help equip learners for the upcoming school year. Their combined support reflects a shared commitment to education and community upliftment.

| Strengthening the Rising Generation’s Faith in Jesus Christ – Children and Youth Overview 2025

The Children and Youth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Baler District gathered last Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Baler District Center for a special event aimed at helping them grow spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually.

As children of God, we are here to learn, grow, and become more like the Savior. Just as Jesus grew "in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" (Luke 2:52), the youth are encouraged to follow His example and progress along His covenant path. Through participation in the Children and Youth program, they are learning to build faith in Jesus Christ, strengthen their relationship with Him, and face life's challenges with courage and hope.

This program not only helps them develop in all areas of life but also invites them to actively participate in the Savior’s work of salvation and exaltation. Truly, it is a great work to see the rising generation grow in faith and dedication to the gospel!
