The Nazarene Youth International of Balangkayan Church of the Nazarene welcomed 2026 with an Overnight Year Starter Fellowship centered on the theme โGrace and Fresh Beginnings.โ
As the new year began, the youth gathered to offer their first moments to the Lord through heartfelt praise and worship, giving thanks for His faithfulness in the year that has passed and committing the year ahead into His gracious hands.
The fellowship was enriched by a timely and challenging message from Pastor Kent Harvey Boco, anchored on the theme โGrace and Fresh Beginnings.โ He emphasized the importance of recognizing and acknowledging the necessity for change in our livesโreminding everyone that while true change may not happen instantly, it is something we can move toward faithfully, step by step, by Godโs grace.
Drawing from 2 Corinthians 5:17, he declared that โif anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here,โ encouraging the youth to embrace their identity in Christ and walk boldly into the new year as renewed people.
This message flowed into a meaningful commitment card and sharing session, where participants reflected on the Word, wrote down their personal commitments, and shared their prayers and intentions for 2026โfostering accountability, honesty, and unity among the youth.
After a shared dinner, the atmosphere became even more joyful as the fellowship continued with fun and engaging games. One of the highlights of the night was the exchange gift activity, where funny yet useful items such as tongs, dishwashing liquid, and food condiments were sharedโsimple gifts that brought laughter and reminded everyone of the joy found in giving.
The overnight fellowship concluded with hearts full of gratitude, as the youth gave thanks to the Lord for the year that has passed and entrusted the new year ahead to Him. Confident in His grace and promises, the Nazarene Youth International steps into 2026 embracing fresh beginnings, renewed faith, and a deeper commitment to walk with Christ.
