Many of us pray for a life without pain and build routines to stay comfortable, secure, and motivated. Yet life reminds us that we are not always in control.

Through it all, we remain children of God—temples of the Holy Spirit. Because Jesus has raised us in His Resurrection, we trust that our faith and perseverance amid suffering are not in vain. They strengthen us and help us grow into mature Christians.

As we endure daily trials, let us grow in unity and understanding. Let us be creative and steadfast in protecting one another from spiritual attacks and deepen our integrity as we remain rooted in Christ.

Only 45 days before we kick off our weeklong 45th Anniversary celebration!

This June marks CFC’s 45 years of grace, community, mission, and fellowship. In the spirit of our theme this year, “In the One, We Are One,” each anniversary event is meant to be a gathering of joy, faith, and families in Christ. We look forward to being with you in this coming weeklong festivity as we celebrate and reminisce on these past 45 years.

We thank God for the gift of your life, faithfully lived in service, prayer and love for His people. Through your quiet and steadfast ministry, many have come to encounter Christ.

Your faith, humility and guidance continue to inspire us all in Couples for Christ. Thank you for leading us closer to God and for being a true shepherd to the community.

For our last session, Bro. Rey focused on the importance of joy in our journey here in CFC. Joy begins in fellowship with God and is rooted in prayer in scripture. As it flows from God's love, it is not influenced nor dependent on circumstances, but rather a fruit of the Holy Spirit and a sign of God's presence no matter what. When Christ is with us, there is joy in the struggle and peace in the chaos.

Joy is not meant to be kept. Rather, it is a gift that is meant to be shared. We have the opportunity to love deeply and share His joy by offering our time, talent, and treasure in the mission. By witnessing, being of service to others, and willingness to continue to go on mission, we bear Christ wherever we go.

Bro. Chris' sharing reminds us that despite whatever state we are in, there is always an opportunity to share Christ's joy. Despite our own personal struggles, let us always remain open and hopeful to receive His love and joy, that we may also be able to extend this to others.

For today's opening worship, Bro Rogel Guleng of CFC Nueva Ecija reminded us that we are gathered here in our Theme Weekend Retreat to receive His invitation to join His Mensa Cristi. While we are riddled with everyday challenges, problems, and worries, let us be steadfast in hoping and trusting the Lord because His love is constant and always looks after us.
