Humility is the Doorway to Faith (Mark 6: 1 - 6)

Humility is the doorway of faith because it allows the heart to remain open to Godโ€™s presence in unexpected and ordinary ways. Without humility, pride and familiarity can blind a person, just as in the Gospel when people failed to recognize Jesus because they thought they already knew Him.

This reflection reminds readers that faith grows when they approach both God and others with humility, choosing to listen, understand, and see beyond assumptions to encounter grace in everyday life.

Today we honor St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, the beloved disciple who remained close to Jesus in joy and in suffering. Resting on the Heart of Christ and standing at the Cross, he teaches us that true faith is born from love.

May St. John inspire us to stay near Jesus and to live as witnesses of His love.

With his dying breath, Jesus entrusted the care of his mother, Mary, to John, saying: "Woman, behold, your son!" and to John, "Behold, your mother!" (John 19:26โ€“27).

You have revealed the mysteries of your Word

As Christmas draws near, the world around us can still feel heavy with conflict: discord in our communities, tension in our relationships, and burdens in our hearts. But we donโ€™t have to be shaped or consumed by these struggles. In Christ, we can rise above them.

This Christmas invites us to become like Jesus: obedient and reverent toward the Father. May the Prince of Peace find in us hearts ready to reflect His meekness, patience, forgiveness, and peace. And as we prepare to welcome the Child Jesus, let us allow His presence to transform us from within. ๐ŸŒŸ

With so much darkness in our world, itโ€™s easy to feel the urge to strike back: to meet harshness with harshness, or to fight fire with fire. But the moment we choose that path, we allow the very evil we resist to take root in our own hearts.

Jesus invites us to a different kind of strength: the courage to be persistently good. Not merely to keep the peace, but to make peace. To let our hearts, our words, and our actions reflect the God who dwells within us. And even when the world offers no calm, the soul that chooses goodness will always find peace within.

This Christmas season, as the world speaks of joy and love, may we become living signs of that love. Let us offer patience when impatience rises, gentleness when tension grows, and mercy when hurt feels easier. ๐ŸŒŸ

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our beloved Tita โ€œJoโ€ Joann Jaraba, our Chapter Coordinator, our mentor, and a true mother in faith. Your dedication, joyful service, and unwavering love for God and for Singles for Christ touched countless lives. You loved us as your own, guided us with patience, and served with a heart full of faith.

We thank God for the beautiful gift of your life. Your legacy of love and service will continue to live in us.

Let us lift her soul in prayer:
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,

Minsan, society makes us feel na kapag single ka, kulang ka.

Parang your worth depends on whether someone chooses you or not.

Pero the truth is, your value has already been established by God. Hindi ito nakabase kung may partner ka or wala, kundi sa fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

Being single is not a season of lack,
but a season of becoming WHOLE in Christ.
Dito mo mas nakikilala ang sarili mo,
at mas tumitibay ang relasyon mo kay Lord.

Hindi ka second-class citizen sa Kingdom of God just because youโ€™re not in a relationship. Your wholeness doesnโ€™t depend on another personโ€™s presence, but on GOD'S PRESENCE in your life.

You are already loved,
you are chosen, and
COMPLETE IN HIM (Colossians 2:10).

Whether dumating man ang love story or hindi, your life is already a BEAUTIFUL STORY ๐Ÿฅน because itโ€™s written by God Himself โœจ
