LIVING A LIFE THAT WINS SOULS...

Proverbs 11:30 NLT
The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends.

Proverbs 11:30 AMPC
The fruit of the [uncompromisingly] righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise captures human lives [for God, as a fisher of men-he gathers and receives them for eternity].

Proverbs 11:30 NASB
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And one who is wise gains souls.

Proverbs 11:30 NCV
A good person gives life to others; the wise person teaches others how to live.

THE FIRST THING...

The Quickly Now of "The First Thing"

John 1:41-42 NIV84
The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). [42] And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas" (which, when translated, is Peter ).

Take note of the order of priority in the text: "The first thing Andrew did..."

Andrew did not wait for a formal invitation program, or to finish levels 1 to 4, or a perfect season in life. The moment he discovered the reality of who Jesus was, his immediate instinct was to share to his brother, Simon.

Sharing the Gospel and inviting and bringing people into the presence of God isn't an afterthought—it is a Christian's immediate, joyous reflex.

You Never Know What God Will Do with the Person You Bring
When Andrew brought Simon, he couldn't have known that Simon Peter would become a cornerstone of the early Church, preaching at Pentecost where three thousand people were saved.

Andrew was not the famous preacher, but he was the link that connected the preacher to Christ. Never underestimate the impact of bringing one person—a coworker, a cousin, a classmate—to church. God may transform their life and use them to impact countless others.

Make it an "Anagkazo" Sunday

1. Keep a list with 20 names of your target unbelievers

2. Pray for each of them everyday

3. Intentionally and personally Invite them by visiting them.

4. Fetch them, compel them to come with you in God's House.

Luke 14:23 NLT
So his master said, 'Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full.

Leaving the "Water Pot" Behind...

John 4:28
"Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town..."

The water pot was her original purpose for being at the well—her daily routine, daily chores, and earthly focus. She dropped it because she found something far greater - she found Jesus, our Savior.

Building a "culture of invitation" requires a mindset shift. When we prioritize the souls of our friends, family, classmates, officemates and neighbors over our daily busyness or comfort, bringing people to church becomes our priority.

A simple invitation: "Come and See"

Notice her approach: she didn't force belief on her townmates, argue with them, or demand they change overnight.
She simply gave an open, low-pressure invitation: "Come and see..." (John 4:29).

John 4:29 NLT
"Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?"

She just did what she could do. Inviting someone to a worship service doesn't require you to know everything or to fix their life first.

Simply invite them to come and see for themselves what God is doing in His sanctuary. Then they will experience Jesus and see who He really is.

John 4:42 NLT
Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world."

Remember, simply invite them and compel them...

Gideon's experience with God led him to a life of worship and obedience...

Judges 6:24 NLT
And Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and named it Yahweh-Shalom (which means "the LORD is peace"). The altar remains in Ophrah in the land of the clan of Abiezer to this day.

Have a "Culture of Invitation"

Luke 14:22-23 ESV
[22] And the servant said, 'Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.' [23] And the master said to the servant, 'Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.

We are God's servants, and as His servants we go out to the streets, highways, hedges and country lanes to COMPEL people to come in God's House, the goal is to make His house FULL.

Bible Examples:
Andrew found his brother Simon Peter and brought him to Jesus (John 1:41-42)

Philip found and brought Nathanael to Jesus (John 145-51)

The Samaritan woman fetched a whole town and brought them to Jesus (John 4:28-30)

Who are you bringing to God's House this weekend?

Thank You, COP Bataan Family!

Beloved Leaders, Workers, and Members,

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who braved the heavy rains brought by the "Habagat" to join us for our weekend worship services.

Seeing your faces, hearing your voices in praise, and witnessing your commitment to fellowship and your desire for God's presence (despite the flooded streets and pouring rain), truly it was an expression of your love-devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you to our leaders for guiding and bringing your members, thank you for the workers who stood at your post to serve tirelessly and faithfully, to lead people to Jesus, and thank you to every member who made the sacrifice to be there.
Your dedication reminds us of the beautiful truth found in Scripture:

Song of Solomon 8:7
Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away."

No amount of rain could dampen the fire of your faith or your love for God's house!

We pray that just as the rain pours down from heaven, God pours out an overflowing measure of blessings, protection, and favor upon you and your families this week.

Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Thank you for not giving up, for showing up, and for being faithful to Jesus.

Stay safe and may God keep you under His wings!
