POINT TO REMEMBER:
God’s mercy makes a way for us to come near His holiness.

Mark 5:27-34 ICB
27 When the woman heard about Jesus, she followed him with the people and touched his coat.

28 The woman thought, “If I can even touch his coat, that will be enough to heal me.”

29 When she touched his coat, her bleeding stopped. She could
feel in her body that she was healed.

30 At once Jesus felt power go out from him. So he stopped and turned around. Then he asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 The followers said, “There are so many people pushing against you! And you ask, ‘Who touched me?’

32 But Jesus continued looking around to see who had touched him.

33 The woman knew that she was healed. So she came and bowed at Jesus’ feet. Shaking with fear, she told him the whole story.

34 Jesus said to the woman, “Dear woman, you are made
well because you believed. Go in peace. You will have no more suffering.”

POINT TO REMEMBER:
The greatest King chose the lowest place to save us.

John 13:1-5 ICB

1 It was almost time for the Jewish Passover Feast. Jesus knew that it was time for him to leave this world and go back to the Father. He had always loved those who were his own in the world, and he loved them all the way to the end.

2 Jesus and his followers were at the evening meal. The devil had already persuaded Judas Iscariot to turn against Jesus. (Judas was the son of Simon.)

3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him power over everything. He also knew that he had come from God and was going back to God.

4 So during the meal Jesus stood up and took off his outer clothing. Taking a towel, he wrapped it around his waist.

5 Then he poured water into a bowl and began to wash the followers’ feet. He dried them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

1 Kings 19:11-13 ESV

11 And he said, “Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

12 And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.[a]

13 And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
