Luke 1:46-55 ICB

46 Then Mary said,
“My soul praises the Lord;

47 my heart is happy because God is my Savior.
48 I am not important, but God has shown his care for me, his servant girl.
From now on, all people will say that I am blessed,

49 because the Powerful One has done great things for me. His name is holy.
50 God will always give mercy to those who worship him.

51 God’s arm is strong. He scatters the people who are proud and think great things about themselves.
52 God brings down rulers from their thrones, and he raises up the humble.

53 God fills the hungry with good things, but he sends the rich away with nothing.
54 God has helped his people Israel who serve him. He gave them his mercy.

55 God has done what he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his children forever.”

26 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread. He thanked God for it and broke it. Then he gave it to his followers and said,
“Take this bread and eat it. This bread is my body.”

27 Then Jesus took a cup. He thanked God for it and gave it to the followers. He said, “Everyone of you drink this.

28 This is my blood which begins the new agreement that God makes with his people. This blood is poured out for many to forgive their sins.

12 A person’s body is one thing, but it has many parts. Yes, there
are many parts to a body, but all those parts make only one body. Christ is like that too.

13 Some of us are Jews, and some of us are Greeks. Some of us are slaves, and some of us are free. But we were all baptized into one body through one Spirit. And we were all made to share in the one Spirit.

All of you together are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of that body.

Sacraments' essence should lead to the finished work of Christ.

We also prayed for the teachers, kids, and families.

POINT TO REMEMBER:
- God’s Word has power to change hearts when we obey and
speak it.
- His Word warns and corrects us.
- His Word leads us to repentance.
- His Word is sovereign.

Jonah 3:3-10 ICB
3 So Jonah obeyed the Lord. He got up and went to Nineveh. It was a very large city. It took a person three days just to walk across it.

4 Jonah entered the city. When he had walked for one day, he preached to the people. He said, “After 40 days, Nineveh will be destroyed!”

5 The people of Nineveh believed in God. They announced they would stop eating for a while. They put on rough cloth to show how sad they were. All the people in the city wore the cloth.
People from the most important to the least important did this.

6 When the king of Nineveh heard this news, he got up from his throne. He took off his robe. He covered himself with rough cloth and sat in ashes to show how upset he was.

7 He made an announcement and sent it through the
city. The announcement said: By command of the king and his important men: No person or animal should eat anything. No
herd or flock will be allowed to taste anything. Do not let them eat food or drink water.

8 But every person and animal should be covered with rough cloth. People should cry loudly to God. Everyone must turn away from his evil life. Everyone must stop doing harm.

9 Maybe God will change his mind. Maybe he will stop being angry. Then we will not die.

10 God saw what the people did. He saw t
hat they stopped doing evil things. So God changed
his mind and did not do what he had warned. He did not punish them.

Jonah 2:5-10 ICB
5 The waters of the sea closed over me. I was about to die.
The deep sea was all around me. Seaweed wrapped around my head.

6 I went down to where the mountains of the sea start to rise. I thought I was locked in this prison forever. But you saved me from death, Lord my God.

7 “When my life had almost gone, I remembered the Lord.
Lord, I prayed to you. And you heard my prayers in your Holy Temple.

8 “People who worship useless idols give up their loyalty to you.

9 Lord, I will praise and thank you while I give sacrifices to you.
I will make promises to you. And I will do what I promise.
Salvation comes from the Lord!”

10 Then the Lord spoke to the fish. And the fish spit Jonah out of its stomach onto the dry land.

Point to remember: Jesus will judge everyone and reward those who truly follow Him.

We prayed for the kids, parents, and teachers.

POINT TO REMEMBER:
-Jesus will return to finish God’s perfect plan.

Revelation 19:11-16 CEV
11 I looked and saw heaven was open, and a white horse was there. Its rider was called Faithful and True, and he is always fair when he judges or goes to war.

12 He had eyes like flames of fire, and he was wearing a lot of crowns. His name was written on him, but he was the only one who knew what the name meant.

13 The rider wore a robe that was covered with blood, and he was known as “The Word of God.”

14 He was followed by armies from heaven that rode on white horses and were dressed in pure white linen.

15 From his mouth a sharp sword went out to attack the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod and will show the fierce anger of God All-Powerful by trampling the grapes in the pit where wine is made.

16 On the part of the robe that covered his thigh was written, “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
