Should Apostolic Women Be Exempted from Not Wearing Makeup on Special Occasions?
Wedding day.
Graduation.
Photoshoots.
“It’s a special day.”
“It’s once in a lifetime.”
“It should be okay just this time.”
Sounds reasonable.
But here’s the real question:
Does holiness take a day off
for special occasions?
Standards were never meant
for ordinary days only.
They were meant for ALL days.
Because conviction that only stands
when it’s convenient
is not conviction.
It’s preference.
The Bible teaches modesty and simplicity
(1 Timothy 2:9).
Not “except during weddings.”
Not “except during graduation.”
No exceptions.
Because holiness is not event-based.
It is identity-based.
You don’t change identity
depending on the occasion.
You don’t become less consecrated
because the camera is on.
Now let’s be clear:
This is not about missing out.
You can be beautiful
without compromise.
You can celebrate
without adjusting your standards.
The pressure is real:
“You’ll stand out.”
“You won’t look your best.”
“You’ll regret it.”
But the real question is:
Does this honor God?
Because true holiness says:
If I don’t do it on normal days,
I won’t do it on special days.
God is not only watching your routine.
He is also watching your exceptions.
And sometimes,
your exceptions reveal your real convictions.
