E-CARE Foundation Launches Information Campaign and Orientation on Climate Change, Food Security, and New Community Development Programs

Despite heavy rains, the Episcopal CARE Foundation, Inc. (E-CARE) successfully launched its Information Campaign and Orientation today, drawing a remarkable turnout of clergy and lay leaders eager to learn about the organization's community development initiatives.

The orientation highlighted E-CARE's ongoing projects on climate change adaptation and food security, while also introducing a new partnership program with the Government of Canada. The initiative aims to support the installation of rainwater catchment systems and solarization projects in churches under the Anglican Board of Mission (ABM) and the Banquet Fund.

In addition, E-CARE presented its plan to establish a Consumers Support Group, an initiative designed to help communities address the challenges brought about by the current economic crisis through collective action and support.

The program began with a Morning Prayer led by The Rev. Ms. Zendy Batucao, followed by a Bible reflection delivered by The Rev. Jenny Gudia Pinge.

Participants were officially welcomed by The Rt. Rev. Richard Stone Banagui, who also introduced Atty. Floyd Lalwet, National Development Officer of E-CARE. Atty. Lalwet presented the foundation's development programs, explained their objectives and implementation strategies, and encouraged participants to take an active role in promoting and supporting these initiatives within their respective communities.

The orientation concluded with an open forum, where attendees actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and shared ideas, reflecting their strong interest and commitment to the programs. The impressive attendance, despite the inclement weather, demonstrated the dedication of both clergy and lay leaders to working together in advancing sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and community resilience.

"Creator God,
Thank you for the waters of the earth,
for the life-sustaining rains,
lakes, and deep oceans.
Keep us mindful of how precious these are,
and how vulnerable they are.
Help us to work together for clean water,
and for the sharing of it with those who have need of it today." Amen.

Rt Revd Christine Hardman

A church building is more than just wood and stoneโ€”it is a sacred space built on faith, prayer, and community. As we reflect on our recent Church Consecration, we are reminded of God's provision in every step of our journey.May this consecrated space always welcome the brokenhearted, inspire the faithful, and magnify the name of Jesus in our city.

Last Saturday July 18, 2026, A New church has been consecrated at Cada, San Gabriel, La Union at the same time a new Deanery Dean was also Installed.

Within these walls, may the broken be healed, the lost be found, and sincere disciples be made. Let Your Holy Spirit fill this space so that all who gather here may experience Your presence, know Your peace, and offer You worship in spirit and truth.

" Ministry is not a life of Convenience, it's a life of COMMITMENT"

The Commission on Ministry had a fellowship and evaluation on Seminarians assigned in different LCU's within EDNCP, along with aspiring seminarians and currently enrolled in Easter College's Theological Studies.

By doing this, it will also help the Commission in assessing the abilities and to give advise to our future ministers.
