Dear Brethren,
Greetings from us and may our risen Lord bless and guide us as we continue to serve His church.

This is to inform you that we have scheduled the Pre - Theology classes starting on May 30th of this year to July 22nd, 2022. Please send the names of prospective students if there are any to the Seminary through email on or before May 30, 2022. The latest pre-requisites are :
One year Active communicant members.
A letter from the prospective student.
At least a K-12 graduate.
Endorsement letter from both the pastor and congregation.
Endorsement letter from the District President.
Medical Certificate and Chest X-ray.
I am encouraging that only those who plan to pursue a four-year course at the Seminary shall be the ones who will take the Pre-Theology courses.
The Seminary will give a food subsidy for each student in the amount of Php 1,500.00 monthly plus free accommodation. The students provide an additional amount for the food if necessary and travel expenses to and from the Seminary. We hope that the congregation and the district help to fund these expenses.
Hoping and praying that by God’s grace, we can continue the training of people for the ministry in the church.
This is all for now and may our risen Lord guide you in encouraging the pastors and congregations in your respective district on this endeavor. Thank you.
In Him,

Rev Teodorico L., Taran, Jr.

Today, we commemorate those who have died in the faith and gone before us to their eternal rest with our Lord Jesus.

Let us pray:
Almighty God, we remember with thanksgiving those who have loved and served You in Your Church on earth and who now rest from their labors. Keep us in fellowship with all Your saints and bring us at last to the joy of Your heavenly Kingdom; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

While we who are still here in this world, live in a veil of tears – however, our loved ones who have already gone before us weep no more because every tear has been wiped from their eyes by our Lord Jesus. And so, we wait for our grand reunion on the last day! And while we wait, we confess, “I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.”

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” Rev. 14: 13

A BLESSED ALL SAINTS DAY TO ALL!

REMEMBER THIS:
What makes us "Lutheran" is our belief that the Church was born and is sustained solely by the Word — preached, heard, read, sung, and believed. ONLY THE WORD! i.e. Christ Jesus!

That is why Luther said, "The teaching is not mine. Nor was I crucified for anyone … How did I, poor stinking bag of maggots that I am, come to the point where people call the children of Christ by my evil name? … I simply taught, preached, wrote God’s Word; otherwise I did nothing. And while I slept, or drank Wittenberg beer with my friends Philip and Amsdorf, the Word so greatly weakened the papacy that no prince or emperor ever inflicted such losses upon it. I did nothing; the Word did everything."

Martin Luther
2nd Invocavit Sermon, March 10, 1522

The seminary has recently received a monetary gift to be allocated for the scholarship fund, in the amount of 35,000 Philippine Pesos, in honor of the memory of Ching Giok Dyliacco Chuaunsu.

Donating or fundraising in someone's memory is a very special and meaningful way to remember them – honoring their life and helping others at the same time. It is God who is the cause of all this, even as he works through visible means to proclaim his Word to all people everywhere. And we rejoice because you are partners with us in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are, like St. Paul, “confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Once more, thank you for your generous gifts! Your seminary will continue to strive "to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." Jude 3
