Ang Paglilingkod Tungo sa Kasakdalan: PMCC 4th Watch Baguio Worships in Right Spirit and Holiness
Worship Sunday of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ 4th Watch Baguio City opened with reverent adoration as Pastor Nomer L. Cabantog led the opening commencement declaring, "Magpasalamat at purihin ninyo ang Kanyang Pangalan sapagkat ang Panginoon ay mabuti." The call set a tone of worship that echoed through the sanctuary, grounding every heart in the goodness of God before a single note was sung. Seamlessly flowing from that charge, host Pastor Jhunrey Sulayao Jr. anchored the congregation in the present moment, reminding everyone that amidst all that is happening around us, "worship is... showing up right now." His words reframed worship not as escape, but as faithful presence.
That spirit of presence erupted into praise as the Youth Choir stirred the congregation with their rendition of “Be With You,” drawing hearts closer to God’s nearness. The fervor continued as the Green Area brethren stood in unity, lifting up “In God We Trust” — a timely anthem of confidence that sent waves of conviction across the hall. From youth to elders, voices and hands were raised, proving once more that worship in Baguio transcends age and area; it is one body, one song, one trust.
Culminating the Divine Worship was the powerful administration of the Word by Pastor Nomer L. Cabantog on the topic, “Ang Paglilingkod Tungo sa Kasakdalan.” With his message rooted in Colossians 1:28, “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ,” he enjoined the church to pursue service that leads to spiritual maturity. The message called every believer not just to gather, but to grow and be presented complete in Christ. As the service closed, the challenge remained: to carry Sunday’s worship into the rest of the week’s witness, showing up for God daily through service that presses toward perfection, because He is good, and in Him we trust.
