This September 19, 2026, the Community of Immaculate Conception Parish โ Aurora Hill gathered at Busol Watershed, Ambiong, Baguio City for its celebration of the Season of Creation 2026.
As one of the major sources of water for Baguio City, the Busol Watershed provided a fitting setting for this yearโs theme, โ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ: ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซโ โ ๐๐ณ๐๐ค๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐:๐, ๐๐,โ reminding everyone of the vital connection between water, life, and our responsibility to care for Creation.
The activity brought together around 120 participants which includes students from Saint Louis School of Aurora Hill (SLSAH), parishioners, and members of the Police Station 6. Their presence reflected a shared commitment to caring for Creation and protecting our common home.
The activity began with an ๐๐๐จ-๐๐๐ฅ๐ค which gives the participants an opportunity to experience and appreciate the beauty of nature.
At the end of the Eco-Walk, we gathered in prayer and thanksgiving for the Celebration of the ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ offering our commitment to care for Godโs creation which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel C. Panayo, our Parish Priest.
Following the celebration of the Eucharist, the participants took part in a ๐๐ซ๐๐-๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, with ๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ generously provided by the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO). With their hands in the soil, participants planted each seedling as a simple yet meaningful act of stewardship. Every tree planted represents a commitment to nurture life, protect the watershed, and contribute to a greener future for Baguio City.
After the tree planting, the participants gathered for lunch and fellowship. The day continued with laughter, conversation, and lively entertainment.
The celebration at Busol Watershed was more than an activity.
It was a journey of faith, stewardship, and community.
Through the Eco-Walk, we walked with Creation.
Through the Eucharist, we gave thanks to the Creator.
Through tree planting, we put our faith into action.
And through fellowship, we celebrated the joy of being one
community.
As we continue the ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐๐, may the 100 seedlings planted today remind us that every act of care can become a source of life.
May we remain immersed in the Living Water, rooted in faith, and committed to protecting our common home. ๐ฟ๐ง
