RAMADHAN MUBARAK

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When Ramadhan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the devils are chained.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

This is a month of opportunity. It is a time to return to Allah, to increase in salah, to recite the Qur’an, to give charity, and to beautify our character. If the gates of Paradise are open, let us not waste the chance to knock.

Strive in worship and in goodness, for perhaps this is the Ramadhan that will transform our hearts and bring us closer to Allah.

Hayaan mo ang Qur'an ang humubog sa pagkatao mo. Kapag ito ay isinapuso mo, ang iyong asal, mga salita, at kilos ay magiging bukal ng kabutihan sa iyong kapwa. Hindi man nila ito maintindihan saan nanggagaling, ngunit ito ay mula sa Qur'an na siyang naging sentro ng iyong pamumuhay. Ikaw ay parang isang citron na may kaaya-ayang kalidad.

Ang pagbabasa ng Banal na Qur’an ay may dakilang gantimpala, mga kaloob mula sa Allah, at mga biyaya. Kabilang dito ang ipinaaalam ng Propeta ﷺ sa hadith na ito tungkol sa kabutihang ipinagkakaloob ng Allah para sa taong nagbabasa ng Qur’an. Sinabi niya: “Sinumang bumasa ng isang titik mula sa Aklat ng Allah ay may isang gantimpala..” Ibig sabihin, gagantimpalaan siya ng Allah ﷻ sa kanyang pagbabasa ng Qur’an ng isang hasanah (mabuting gawa) sa bawat titik na kanyang binasa, “at ang isang hasanah ay pinaparami nang sampung ulit.”

Kapag ginawa mong bahagi ng iyong araw-araw ang Qur’an, kapag pinipili mong sundin ang mga aral nito, at kapag patuloy kang bumabalik dito, pinipili mo ang landas na papalapit sa lugod ni Allah.

Bawat talata na binabasa mo at bawat aral na pinagsisikapan mong isabuhay ay dahilan para itaas ni Allah ang iyong antas.

Ipinapaalala sa atin ng Propeta Muhammad ﷺ na huwag bibitaw sa Qur’an, dahil darating ang araw na ito ang magiging tagapamagitan ng mga taong nanatiling tapat dito.

"اقرؤوا القرآن فإنه يأتي يوم القيامة شفيعا لأصحابه"
"Basahin ninyo ang Qur'an, sapagkat ito ay darating sa araw ng Paghuhukom bilang tagapamagitan para sa mga nagbabasa nito..."

Sinabi ng Propeta Muhammad ﷺ
خيرُكُم مَن تعلَّمَ القرآنَ وعلَّمَهُ
"Ang pinakmainam sa inyo ay ang natutuo ng Qur'an at itinuro ito."
(Bukhari)

Ang pinakamainam sa mga tao ay yaong pinipiling gawing bahagi ng kanilang buhay ang Qur’an. Inaaral ito, isinasaulo, binibigkas nang wasto, at inuunawa nang may puso.

Sila ang mga taong hindi lamang natututo para sa sarili, kundi ibinabahagi rin nila ang Qur’an sa iba.

Dakila ang landas na ito sapagkat ito’y kaugnay ng Salita ng Allah, ang pinakamataas at dakila sa lahat ng pananalita.

Kapag pinagsama ang pagkatuto at pagtuturo ng Qur’an, sabay na nahuhubog ang sarili at napapabuti ang kapwa..

Maging kabilang nawa tayo sa mga taong natututo ng Qur'an at itinuturo ito.

As Imam al-Shāfiʿī puts it

وَمَنْ لَمْ يَذُقْ مُرَّ التَّعَلُّمِ سَاعَةً
Whoever refuses to endure the difficulty of learning,

تَجَرَّعَ ذُلَّ الْجَهْلِ طُولَ حَيَاتِهِ
will live their entire life tasting the humiliation of ignorance.

وَمَنْ فَاتَهُ التَّعْلِيمُ وَقْتَ شَبَابِهِ
And whoever misses the chance to learn in their youth

فَكَبِّرْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا لِوَفَاتِهِ
it is as though one offers a funeral prayer for their future.

وَذَاتُ الْفَتَى وَاللهِ بِالْعِلْمِ وَالتُّقَى
A person’s true worth, by Allah, lies in knowledge and piety

إِذَا لَمْ يَكُونَا لَا اعْتِبَارَ لِذَاتِهِ
without them, their very self holds no real value.

Almaarif Educational Center, Inc. has successfully participated in the National Earthquake Drill held today, Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

Taking precautions is part of our trust (amanah) and responsibility as Muslims.

وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ
“And do not throw yourselves into destruction.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:195)

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Campo Filipino Barangay Officials and the Baguio City Government for their guidance and cooperation in ensuring the success of this activity.

May Allāh ﷻ keep us safe, protect our community, and bless our city with peace at all times.
