“More Than Sundaes”

Compassion is more than sweet words, good intentions, or emotional moments.
Biblical compassion moves. It responds. It acts.

The Bible never says you must be rich to care. And it never teaches that compassion stops at feelings alone. True compassion is a heart that sees people and hands willing to help according to what God has given.

From Scripture after Scripture, we see God calling His people not just to feel mercy, but to live it out. And in the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus makes it clear: love is proven in action.

As we continue our More Than Sundays series, we’re reminded that faith goes beyond church attendance. It looks like kindness, generosity, service, and compassion in everyday life.

Not just “feel better.”
Not just “pray for you.”
But “go and do likewise.”

Last Sunday, we continued our “More Than Sundays” series with Week 2: “Reel Love”, a powerful reminder that following Jesus is more than just showing up, it’s staying connected to Him every single day.

Through John 21:15–17, we were reminded of how Jesus met Peter even after his failures and asked the question that still speaks to us today: “Do you love Me?” A love that stays faithful even in difficult seasons, even after mistakes, and even when we drift.

As we move forward, may we continue choosing a kind of love that stays anchored in Jesus, connected, faithful, and fully surrendered to Him. Because real love for God goes beyond Sundays and flows into the way we live every day.

Because at the heart of following Jesus is not perfection, performance, or popularity… but love that remains faithful.

As we continue our More Than Sundays series, we focus on the heartbeat of our vision: loving God faithfully. A kind of love that doesn’t disconnect when life gets hard, when emotions fade, or when failures happen.

always His.
