Traditional Latin Mass Society - Diocese of Baguio A group of Catholics upholding tradition in the Diocese of Baguio. Patroness: Our Lady of the Atonement

The celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass (Tridentine Mass) in Baguio City started in the month of April 2009. It was regularly celebrated in the Holy Face of Jesus Chapel (previously called the Cathedral Chapel Oratory and Baptistry). The traditional masses began through the initiative of Rev. Cosalan, Jr. in accordance with the Motu Proprio of Pope Benedict XVI entitled Summorum Pontificum. We, as members of the True church wish to uphold Mother Church’s sacred traditions alongside her modern creations. We are open to all who wish to help tradition foster change and growth in this world. God Bless us all.

In response to the DECREE OF ENDORSEMENT AND PRAISE ON THE COMMUNAL FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTION IN HONOR OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA issued by His Excellency, the Most Rev. Rafael T. Cruz, D.D., Bishop of Baguio, dated August 26, 2025, we invite all the Parish Priests and his assistants, parishioners, Lay Religious Communities, Lay Liturgical Ministers, Youth Ministry of the Vicariate of Our Lady of Atonement, and Seminarians of St. Francis Xavier Seminary to attend the VICARIATE MARIAN RECOLLECTION on the Topic: “OUR LADY’S MESSAGES FOR OUR TIME” on SEPTEMBER 9, 2026 (Wednesday) at the Baguio Cathedral and Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of the Atonement. This is also an Orientation to the First Saturday Devotion in honor of Our Lady of Fatima.

This is to inform our parishioners that the celebration of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass tomorrow (August 9) will be CANCELLED due to extenuating circumstances.

The Pilgrim Image of St. Mary Magdalene from the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Mary Magdalene, Pililla, Rizal, is set to visit the Baguio Cathedral and the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Atonement on June 20–21, 2026.

All the faithful are warmly invited to come and join this grace-filled occasion of prayer, veneration, and devotion. Let us welcome St. Mary Magdalene, the faithful disciple of the Lord and the first witness of the Resurrection, and ask for her intercession that we may grow in our love for Christ and our commitment to proclaim the Good News.

ANNOUNCEMENT || Traditional Latin Mass

The celebration of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass will be held at the CRC Hall at the Bishop’s House tomorrow (May 17) at 3:30 PM.

The propers of the celebration will be the External Solemnity of the Ascension, followed by the Absolution of the Dead for Rev. Fr. Manuel A. Castro.
