Traditional Latin Mass Society - Diocese of Baguio

Traditional Latin Mass Society - Diocese of Baguio A group of Catholics upholding tradition in the Diocese of Baguio. Patroness: Our Lady of the Atonement
Chaplain: Rev. Fr. Marion Joseph S. Nebres Andres M.

The celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass (Tridentine Mass) in Baguio City started in the month of April 2009. It was regularly celebrated in the Holy Face of Jesus Chapel (previously called the Cathedral Chapel Oratory and Baptistry). The traditional masses began through the initiative of Rev. Cosalan, Jr. in accordance with the Motu Proprio of Pope Benedict XVI entitled Summorum Pontificum.

We, as members of the True church wish to uphold Mother Church’s sacred traditions alongside her modern creations. We are open to all who wish to help tradition foster change and growth in this world. God Bless us all.

TRIVIA | TOMORROW STARTS THE PRE-LENTEN SEASON (SEASON OF SEPTUAGESIMA)

As we prepare for the holy season of Lent, the Traditional Roman Rite ushers us into a time of reflection and penance with the Season of Septuagesima. This period, rich in liturgical history, spans three weeks and invites us to examine our hearts and renew our commitment to spiritual growth. According to Dom Prosper Gueranger, Septuagesima serves as a valuable time to ready ourselves for the profound journey of Lent. Let us embrace this season with earnest prayer and reflection. 🙏
