Hello, CYFers! Let’s start our October with a bang!

Kaya naman we’re thrilled to invite you to celebrate 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬’ 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 with the theme “𝘿𝘼𝙉𝙂𝘼𝘿𝘼𝙉𝙂: 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚”.

Our celebration consists of a series of activities that will surely give us a deeper understanding of the lives and stories of our Indigenous siblings. This is an opportune time to appreciate their rich culture, understand their situations, and as church people, strengthen our solidarity with them in pursuit of ecological justice and lasting peace.

UPDATE | The Council of Bishops' Pastoral Statement on DOH mismanagement of Covid-19 pandemic response

"We are appalled by the extent of allegations of misuse of government funds by the Department of Health (DOH) as unraveled by the Commission on Audit (COA). “The Consolidated Annual Audit Report for FY 2020 for government agencies was released on August 13. The COA website disclosed that they have findings of deficiencies involving COVID-19 funds amounting to Php 67.3 Billion resulted from the nonsubmission of documentation or supporting papers, which the DOH may still submit in compliance with the auditor’s recommendation.”"
