As part of our Choir Formation, we were blessed to have Rev. Fr. Benedict Jason “BJ” Lopez lead a meaningful discussion on the topic, “Singing in the Liturgy vs. Singing the Liturgy.”

The formation reminded our choir members that liturgical music is not simply about singing during Mass, but about allowing our music and voices to become an integral part of the Church’s prayer and worship. Through this formation, we are invited to deepen our understanding of the sacred liturgy and to serve not as performers, but as ministers who help the assembly pray through song.

EXTENDING HELP AND HOPE TO FIRE AND TYPHOON-AFFECTED FAMILIES

The St. Louis de Montfort Gimong, together with the Parish Social Action Council, visited the families affected by the recent fire and Typhoon Maymay at Purok 8, San Luis Barangay.

During the visit, cash assistance was distributed to help provide support and relief to the affected families as they begin to recover from these unfortunate circumstances.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Nancy C. Cabarles for her generous donation, and to all our parish donors and benefactors who continue to extend their helping hands to our brothers and sisters in need.

May your generosity bring hope, comfort, and strength to the affected families as they rebuild and move forward.

Yesterday, August 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM, the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish community offered a Funeral Mass for the late Romulo H. Tiam, one of the victims of the Guisad Surong landslide tragedy, whose remains lie at Baguio Memorial Chapel.

After the Mass, financial assistance entrusted to our parish by generous donors was given to the bereaved family. We also proceeded to the Resurrection Cathedral Chapel to hand over the financial assistance to the bereaved families.

Our sincere gratitude to our generous parish donors for your cash donations, which were personally handed over to each bereaved family. Your kindness and generosity are a source of hope and comfort during this difficult time. May God bless you abundantly. 🙏❤️

May God grant eternal rest to the departed and strength and comfort to their loved ones.

A Mass of Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims of the Guisad Surong Landslide

Today at 2:00 PM, the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Community gathered in prayer and offered a Holy Mass for the victims of the Guisad Surong landslide.

The Funeral Mass was presided over by Fr. Reamor Bacdayan, Parochial Vicar, and concelebrated by Fr. Felimon William, Parish Priest, and Fr. Anthony Irineo, OAR.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Anthony for joining us and for sharing a meaningful and comforting homily during this time of grief.

Also joining us were Ms. Majo and Ms. Letty of the Diocese of Baguio Social Action Commission, whose presence and support are deeply appreciated.

May the souls of the departed victims rest in the eternal peace of God. May the Lord continue to comfort and strengthen the bereaved families, and may our prayers and solidarity remain with them during this difficult time.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen 🙏🕯️

A Little Help, A Little Hope 🤍🙏

Mr. Joshua Domino, our BEC/Gimong Chairman, caught our attention and informed us that another group of evacuees, consisting of eight individuals, were staying along 1st Road, Quezon Hill.

Knowing that food and water were their immediate needs, we hurriedly arranged meals and brought bottled water to them. During our visit, we also met an elderly man who was experiencing pain and dizziness. We learned that he was one of the survivors of the devastating Guisad Surong landslide tragedy.

What saddened us most was hearing him say that, because of his condition, he could not be with his family at the wake of their loved ones.

In moments like this, we are reminded that beyond the food and water we bring, what people need most is our presence, compassion, and prayers.

Lord, ease their pain, strengthen their hearts, and lighten the burdens they carry. May You comfort every grieving family and give them the courage to face each day. 🙏🕊️

We continue to pray, serve, and stand with our brothers and sisters in this time of tragedy.
