There’s a lot in Gospel of Matthew 24:4–8 that can shake people—wars, deception, uncertainty. But Jesus Christ didn’t say these things to create fear… He said them so we would stand firm.

We don’t live reacting to fear—we live rooted in faith.
Even when the world feels unstable, God calls us to stay steady, awake, and anchored in truth.

This Sunday, let’s talk about what it means to live faithfully, not fearfully—not ignoring reality, but trusting the One who holds it.

Sometimes the weight we carry isn’t visible—but it’s heavy all the same.

In Gospel of Matthew 11:28–30, Jesus talks about a “yoke.”

A yoke is a wooden beam placed over two oxen so they can carry a load together. Farmers would often pair a strong, experienced ox with a weaker one so the stronger one carries most of the weight and guides the direction.

That’s the image behind it.

When Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you… for my yoke is easy and my burden is light,” He’s not saying there’s no burden at all. He’s saying:
You don’t have to carry it alone anymore.

It’s like He’s saying:
“Walk with Me. Let Me carry the heavier side. Let Me guide you.”

There is rest, not in pretending you're strong, but in finally letting go and trusting Him with what you can’t handle.

Whatever’s been draining you lately—guilt, pressure, worries, things you don’t even talk about—you don’t have to carry it by yourself.

Bring it to Him. Pray. Be honest. Even if it’s messy.

You don’t have to carry it alone. 🤍
