Saving money for a “rainy day” is something everyone agrees is wise. But if we save with an even higher purpose in mind—storing up treasures in heaven—it’s even more commendable or praiseworthy. In truth, we only truly own what we’ve used well for Christ for his glory. Once someone learns the secret of “heavenly banking,” they’ve found the true philosopher’s stone, turning everything into eternal riches. Even the simplest things become treasures forever. A worn-out coat becomes a robe of righteousness, and a frayed or worn-out old hat a crown of glory when worn in self-denying service for Christ. We should always live for the highest and best things.
Besides we have the Holy Spirit within us to empower us or to make us able to do things that is not our nature to do, so we can function according to our purpose, to make disciples by witnessing the same gospel of Christ, using every blessing given by God for ourselves and family the most of it, but investing some of it for God's Kingdom in connection to the gospel resulting to become an instrument to save souls and to provide for the needs of God’s given mission field.
