The official logo of the Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, Parish of Our Lady of the Pillar- Ma-ao
1. Praying Hands (large, multi-colored): Prayer is the lifeblood of YIFI. The vibrant gradient of colors represents the diversity, creativity, and energy of the youth coming from different backgrounds but united in one faith. The hands sheltering the praying youth symbolize God’s encompassing love and the Mother Church embracing her young members. It reminds us that before we act, we kneel — every purpose begins in prayer.
2. Two Youth in Prayer: This is us — the Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente. Their posture of humility and devotion shows that YIFI is not just an organization, but a community of worshippers. It reflects both personal piety and communal spirituality, echoing the Aglipayan tradition of a praying and working Church.
3. Flame/Fire: The fire represents the Holy Spirit who descended at Pentecost and continues to set hearts ablaze for mission. It connects directly to our theme “Living with Purpose” and the campfire message: faith is not meant to stay still, but to spread warmth, light, and transformation. For YIFI, it is the fire of mission, courage, and love of country.
4. Cross: The Cross of Christ stands at the center because He is the center. It is both a symbol of salvation and of sacrifice — calling every YIFI to take up their own cross in service. It anchors the logo, showing that all our roles find meaning only when rooted in Christ’s victory.
5. YIFI Youth Seal with “PRO DEO ET PATRIA: This affirms our official identity as Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente. The motto “For God and Country” captures the unique Aglipayan charism — a faith that is patriotic and a patriotism that is faithful. It calls YIFI Ma-ao to be both devout Christians and responsible citizens.
6. Palm Leaves: A Biblical symbol of victory, peace, and kingship. It recalls Christ’s triumphant entry to Jerusalem and reminds YIFI that we journey with a victorious King. For the youth, it means celebrating our faith with joy, even amidst trials, and welcoming Christ to reign in our lives.
7. Light Bulb: Symbol of enlightenment, wisdom, and innovation. It speaks to “YIFI in a Modern World” — faith seeking understanding. It tells the youth to use their God-given intellect, to study, to discern, and to shine as light in schools, social media, and society. Faith and reason walk together.
8. Clasped Hands: The universal sign of solidarity, fellowship, and unity. It embodies your Solidarity Night and the core value of YIFI — no one walks alone. It is a commitment to lift one another, to serve together, and to build a Church where everyone belongs.
9. Banner “YIFI MA-AO”: Declares our local rootedness. We are part of the wider YIFI and IFI, but you are proudly formed and sent from the Parish of Our Lady of the Pillar, Ma-ao. It is identity with accountability — to represent your parish well.
The YIFI Ma-ao logo is a visual testimony of who we are and what we are called to be. At its heart is the Cross of Christ, our sure foundation, with the flame of the Holy Spirit rising to show a faith that is alive and on mission. Sheltered by praying hands, the youth kneel in humility, reminding us that prayer is our starting point and strength.
Altogether, the logo proclaims: We are YIFI Ma-ao — rooted in faith, centered in Christ, fired by the Spirit, enlightened by wisdom, united in fellowship, and proud of our Aglipayan heritage as we live out our purpose for God and country.
This directly embodies our theme, “Finding our Role: Living with Purpose,” for each element points to a role we are called to fulfill: to pray, to witness, to serve, to learn, to unite, and to lead.
