On this day in 2016, Most Rev. Patricio A. Buzon, SDB, was canonically installed as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Bacolod at the San Sebastian Cathedral.

Appointed by Pope Francis to succeed Most Rev. Vicente M. Navarra, Bishop Buzon began his pastoral ministry among the faithful of Bacolod with a spirit of service, humility, and dedication.

As we look back on this significant moment, we give thanks to God for the years of faithful service and leadership of Bishop Buzon. We are grateful for his presence, guidance, and fatherly care for our Diocese.

Monday Gospel Reflection | Taking Up Our Cross and Following Christ 🌿
📖 Matthew 10:34–11:1

Today’s Gospel reminds us that following Jesus is not always an easy journey. Christ calls us to place God above everything and to embrace our crosses with faith, courage, and love.

In a world filled with conflicts, divisions, suffering, and uncertainty, Jesus invites us to remain faithful even when choosing the right path becomes difficult. True discipleship means standing for truth, showing compassion, forgiving others, and becoming a source of hope amid the struggles of today.

Our crosses may represent our challenges, sacrifices, and personal battles, but when we carry them with God, they become opportunities for spiritual growth and deeper trust in His plan.❤️‍🔥

May we have the courage to follow Christ not only in moments of joy but also in times of hardship. Through our love, service, and faithfulness, may we become instruments of God’s peace and hope in the world. ✨
