St. John the Baptist Parish Youth Ministry warmly invites all young people to take part in our Youth Recollection initiative, a month-long spiritual journey designed to deepen our relationship with God while fostering self-awareness, healing, and holistic well-being.

Throughout the month of August, this recollection will be brought to different Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) and Ministries, allowing more young people to encounter Christ, reflect on their lives, and grow together in faith and fellowship.

We've started today the second wave of recollection in the BEC areas of Brgy. Pacol and Bagroy. Numerous pamatan-on from both areas gathered to pause, reflect, and listen to His call.

As we continue this spiritual journey, may more pamatan-on ni juan say "yes" to Him.

Ginpangunahan sang mga Pamatan-on sang Brgy. Malingin, upod ang Youth Core Group, ang aton Youth Mass sang ika-duha nga Domingo sang Agosto. Sila nagsilbi man bilang isa sa mga collectors kag sa welcoming ministry, dugang pa sa aton liturgical ministry. Nagtambong man sa sini ang mga Pamatan-on ni Juan gikan sa nagkalain-lain nga barangay nga sakop sang aton parokya. Ang ini nga hilikuton nagtapos sa nubo nga meeting kag kamustahan sang mga pamatan-on.

PAMATAN-ON NI JUAN IN ACTION!

Today, August 2, 2026, marked the first Youth Mass under the parish's new initiative of celebrating every fourth mass as a Youth Mass.

With hearts ready to serve and a deep commitment to our parish community, numerous Pamatan-on ni Juan members actively participated in the celebration of the Holy Mass through serving in various ministries. The youth also officially launched the sale of prayer cards as an income-generating project of Pamatan-on ni Juan. All proceeds will go directly to the Youth Ministry Fund, which will support outreach programs, gift-giving activities for the less privileged, and various youth ministry initiatives.

Before the Holy Mass, the youth gathered for a Gospel reflection, taking the time to listen, pray, and prepare their hearts for the Eucharistic celebration.

On this 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, we joyfully celebrate the men who have answered God's call with generous hearts. Through their ministry, they become instruments of Christ's love, bringing hope to the weary, strength to the faithful, and God's mercy to all.

Today, we joyfully greet our beloved Parish Priest on the occasion of his 31st Presbyteral Anniversary.

With hearts full of gratitude, the St. John the Baptist Parish family offers our warmest greetings, love, and prayers as you celebrate this year of faithful priestly ministry. Your unwavering dedication to Christ and His Church, your compassionate pastoral care, and your tireless service to our parish have been a source of inspiration and blessing to countless faithful. Through your leadership, zeal, and steadfast commitment, you have led many closer to God and strengthened our parish community in faith.

Thank you for your selfless service and for being a faithful shepherd after the heart of Christ. May God continue to bless you abundantly.

PAMATAN-ON IN ACTION!

LANTAWA. Yesterday, 13 youth leaders from various parishes under the Vicariate of Bago participated in the Diocesan Parish Youth Leaders Assembly with the theme, "Illumina: Young Leaders, Lead with Light", held at Sacred Heart Seminary with the goal of uniting and educating youth leaders from different vicariates.

The program started with the opening remarks of Rev. Fr. Arnel K. Pabalate, Diocesan Youth Director, followed by the talk of Mr. Jonel Estacio of Sal Et Lumen. He emphasized that, "We are not the future nor the past of the Church, but the present of it."

This gave the youth a powerful realization that we are not just the children of the Church—we are leaders, missionaries, and we are called to serve. We are the light that the Church needs in our communities today.

In the afternoon session, a forum was held where each vicariate and parish raised their ministry concerns, problems, and current situations. These concerns were addressed by the panelists: Ms. Leni Rose Julag-ay, RGC, and Rev. Fr. Salvador P. Barcelona, PhL, Director of the Commission on Family and Life and Priest-in-Charge of the Safeguarding Office of the Diocese of Bacolod.

The activity ended with the affirmation that all raised concerns were heard and that challenges will be given solutions.
