𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨. 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐀 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐌 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 held last May 17, 2026, at the Bapa Benny Tudtud Hall of Ateneo de Davao University.
The gathering brought together Social Communication Ministers and communicators from different dioceses across Mindanao for a meaningful seminar focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), its ethical considerations, and its advantages and disadvantages in the field of evangelization and communication. The morning session featured insightful discussions from the invited speakers, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙀𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙤 𝙏. 𝙇𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙯, 𝙈𝙧. 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙎. 𝙇𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙯, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙧. 𝙂𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙇𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙯, who shared their knowledge regarding the responsible and effective use of AI in today’s digital age.
In the afternoon, the Archbishop Thibault Media Awards commenced, honoring journalists and media practitioners for their advocacies, news articles, and reports that promote truthful and responsible journalism. The event was graced by the presence of the Archbishop of Davao, 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙫. 𝙍𝙤𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙤 𝙂. 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨, 𝘿.𝘿., together with the Bishop of the Diocese of Mati, 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙫. 𝘼𝙗𝙚𝙡 𝘾. 𝘼𝙥𝙞𝙜𝙤, 𝘿.𝘿.
