Today, our hearts are full as we celebrate the newest "Soldiers of Christ" in our community. Under the guidance of the Most Rev. Luisito A. Occiano, D.D, Bishop of Virac, these individuals received the Sacrament of Confirmation marking an important step in their spiritual journey.

Today, we were reminded that the Holy Spirit doesn't just visit usโ€”He stays to empower us.

He is Risen! Allelujah!

There is a specific kind of peace that filled the church today as we celebrated the Resurrection. During the homily, we were reminded of a truth we often forget in our daily lives: Jesus is relentlessly forgiving. No matter how many times we stumble or how far we feel weโ€™ve fallen short, His mercy is a constant, open door.

As a community, we stood together to renew our baptismal promises, recommitting our lives to the light of Christ. But the most moving moment of the liturgy was watching our sister stand before the font.
Witnessing her accept Catholicism at an adult ageโ€”choosing this path with a full and conscious heartโ€”was a powerful testimony to everyone watching. As the water was poured and she later approached the altar for her very first Holy Communion, we didn't just hear about "new life" in a sermon, we saw it happen right before our eyes.

We are walking out of the church today renewed, forgiven, and larger in number.

Welcome to the family, sister!

May the joy of the Risen Lord stay in our hearts all year long.

HAPPY EASTER!

As we reach the peak of the Liturgical Year, we invite you to journey with us through the solemnity of Holy Saturday into the joy of Easter Sunday. Let us gather as one parish family to witness the victory of life over death.

We look forward to seeing the community in prayer and celebration!

GOOD FRIDAY (PROCESSION KAN SOLEDAD)

Following the solemn procession of the Santo Entierro, a heavy silence falls. As the funeral carriage is laid to rest and the crowds disperse, we enter the Soledadโ€”the sacred solitude of Mary.

The Soledad marks the peak of the Seven Sorrows. The swords have all pierced her heart, the tomb is sealed, and the Mother is left alone in the quiet. This isn't just loneliness, it is the strength to stand in the darkness when the worldโ€™s light has been extinguished.
It serves as a powerful reminder that after the "burials" in our own lives, there is a period of waiting in the shadows. In her Soledad, Mary teaches us how to hold onto faith in the stillness, quietly keeping watch for the dawn.

GOOD FRIDAY (PROCESSION KAN STO. ENTIERRO)

The sun sets, the bells fall silent, and a profound hush settles over our streets. Tonight, we walk in the shadow of the Cross.

As the Santo Entierro (Holy Interment) begins its solemn journey, we witness the image of the lifeless Christโ€”a poignant reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made for humanity. This is not just a tradition; it is a shared moment of mourning, reflection, and deep gratitude and the rhythmic glow of candles pierces the darkness, each flame representing a prayer, a heartache, or a plea for mercy. We follow the carroza not just as spectators, but as pilgrims tracing the path from Calvary to the tomb.

GOOD FRIDAY (THE LITURGY OF THE PASSION OF CHRIST)

Today at 3:30 PM, time seemed to stand still. We joined the Liturgy of the Lordโ€™s Passion, listening to the echoes of a sacrifice that changed the course of history.

The most moving moment remained the Veneration of the Cross. There is a powerful humility in the 'Kiss of the Cross'โ€”a moment where we bring our brokenness to the very wood that bore the weight of the world. We donโ€™t just look at the Cross today; we reach out and touch the mercy it represents.

Finished, yet only the beginning.

GOOD FRIDAY (SIETE PALABRAS)

In the re-enactment of the Passion, we saw our own struggles reflected in the heavy timber of the Cross. But it was in the 'Siete Palabras'โ€”those final, gasping breaths of graceโ€”that we found the true meaning of the sacrifice.

Seven words. One sacrifice. Infinite mercy. Today, we donโ€™t just remember a story; we inhabit a promise.

MAUNDY THURSDAY

As we gathered for the Holy Thursday liturgy, a night that redefined everything we know about power and leadership. We saw the institution of the priesthood not as a title of prestige, but as a birthright of service. Jesus, acting as our first Priest, showed us that the eucharist and the church are two halves of the same heart. While we look to the priest to bring us His body and blood, it is through usโ€”His modern-day disciplesโ€”that His living word finally reaches the world.

There is something so jarring, yet so profoundly beautiful, about watching the washing of the feet. In that humble act, the King of Kings looked up from the floor to remind us that to lead is to serve, and to love truly is to be willing to stoop low. It was a silent command: โ€œAs I have done, so must you do.โ€

We leave the church tonight not just as people who have prayed, but as a community commissioned to be His hands and feet in a world that is hungry for His grace.
