Title: The Cure for Lukewarm Christians
The Lord does not manipulate us because He is not a manipulator. He didn’t make us like robots. First, He tells us what is good, then He gives us corrections, just like with the church in Ephesus.
When you are in love with the Lord, you can do anything. Because of your love for Him, you can serve in all church ministries. When you love someone, you are willing to do anything for them. Remember your first love for the Lord. Sometimes we face challenges because of our faith, but because Jesus is our first love, we let people say whatever they want. What matters is not the church building, but you as a person. It’s important to keep your first love for the Lord.
If you used to arrive early and excited for church but now you come late, or if you used to give faithfully but now you question where your money goes, that’s a sign. You have overcome challenges before, but now you may have lost that first love. When you lose your first love, everything becomes harder. When it's your first love, you prioritize it, but now it feels secondary.
Remember when you would cry just from hearing a song? Now the preacher has to shout to get you to worship. Those who love give (John 3:16). If someone loves but doesn’t give, they are not truly loving. Before we give to the Lord, He has already given to us first. We give tithes because God blesses us, and we return a portion to Him. If we are not faithful in our tithes, we cannot expect to be saved. We must not overlook anything in the Bible, as it is part of our salvation.
We shouldn’t follow others who give tithes but are not sincere. God will not bless us just because of our tithes; He looks at the offerings that come from our hearts. What we plant is what we will harvest. A healthy church doesn’t need corrections if it is faithful before the Lord. The key to blessings is being faithful. If we are not ashamed of the Lord’s name and live righteously, He will bless us.
Even with many challenges, if we keep going, the Lord sees all our efforts and will fulfill the desires of our hearts. We should not pretend before the Lord; He sees everything and knows the truth. The real struggle as Christians happens outside of the church. Even if we try to pretend, God knows what’s real.
We must be passionate in serving the Lord; He doesn’t want us to be lukewarm or just Sunday Christians. If we are warm for the Lord, we should be cold towards sin. Lukewarm Christians are not valued by the Lord; it’s dangerous, and He will reject us. Everything we do should come from the heart and be done sincerely. If we are lukewarm, we can be harmful, just like spoiled food.
"If you are somewhere in the middle, you become toxic in the body of Christ." Unity is essential! We need everyone to agree to receive blessings. If the bus driver causes an accident, we all suffer. Similarly, if the pastor is not faithful, we might be in trouble too. Now is the time to remove the toxicity from our spirits.
The Lord does not want microwave Christians—cold at first and then heated up. He doesn’t want plastic Christians or average ones. He desires on-fire Christians. The cure for lukewarmness is warmth and heat... Acts 2:38. He disciplines those He loves so they don’t perish. The Lord is knocking at the door of our hearts; it’s not too late to repent and return to Him. 💧 🔥
