FIFTH DAY
ACT OF CONTRITION
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.
OPENING PRAYER
O, Lord Almighty, You had appointed Mary to give birth to Jesus Christ our Saviour. You had distilled in her the graces and ways that would guide our Redeemer. You had exalted her among women of the earth so that she will become the channel of grace so that we might live worthy to be your children, We ask thee then Lord that you may cleanse our hearts of all sins we repent for them so that we belong to the Saints as you had wished us to be. Help us so that we may follow our Virgin Mary, so that we may live becoming of the glory that your Son Jesus Christ had promised us.
PRAYER FOR THE FIFTH DAY
O, Virgin Mary, you had manifested your power when the Moros came to our shore to erase you, they consigned your miraculous image to the flames. But your image was never burned, despite their thought that it would not be spared from destruction. To their great consternation, the image was yet to touch the flame when the burning logs went cold and the fire was extinguished. O Mary, spare the humility before the Lord. May the Lord comfort us and send power and happiness.

JOYS OF THE MIRACULOUS VIRGIN OF BADOC l CAUSE OF OUR JOY
In the past, your forebears of Badoc
Are fishers and their lot was hard
Waves to them were always daunting
But they lived and trusted the Lord

In the past, the residents of Dadalaguiten
Were amazed by the blessing that came
Two large casks from far-away Spain
Their fortune brought amazement and awe

They raced to open the casks
Amazed they were a nailed Jesus, King forever
And an image of the Virgin Mary who bore the Child
To remind us of the love of the Lord, King forever

The folks contested who will bring home the boxes
Sinait peasants choose the image of the Virgin
And Badoc folks that of Sacred Christ
To their surprise that box was too heavy.

The folks believe that Christ was for Sinait
And the Virgin Mary, for Badoc
And so with gratitude to Virgin Mary so sweet

The Moros came to destroy the mission
They tried to attack the house of prayer
They burned it to raze it for all and once
But amazing, the fire went out at once

They hacked thy image O Virgin Mary
But their steel did snap to their surprise
They got your image and consigned it to the flames
And to their consternation, your image survived

V. O Mary conceived without sin,
R. Pray for us who have recourse to you.
Let us pray,
We fly to your protection, most holy Mother of God; please listen to our petitions and needs, and deliver us from all dangers, ever glorious and blessed Virgin Mary. Mary, our model, and mother, by your obedience and patience you have taught us how to be true children of God. Please help us by your powerful assistance to overcome all our weaknesses, and to fulfill perfectly our tasks in life. By your compassionate aid may we ever stand in spirit with you beneath the cross of Christ so that we may also rejoice with you in your divine Son's triumphant victory over sin and death. In your maternal kindness help us to be faithful to prayers in the company of God's Church as you were one with the Apostles in the upper room as you waited for the promised Spirit of Pentecost. With your gracious assistance may we be near you in the glory of Christ's kingdom come to sing with you and all the faithful the eternal praise of God. Amen.
PRAYER IN HONOR OF
LA VIRGEN MILAGROSA DE BADOC
Our Father in heaven, you chose the Virgin Mary as the Blessed Mother of your only begotten Son. Already from his cross, the Lord Jesus entrusted us to her as our mother. Like the Beloved Apostle John, we have been privileged, since then, to be loved by a loving mother.
In her maternal concern, the Virgin Mary helps us grow in wisdom and grace before God and men. She comes searching for us when we are lost, like the Child Jesus in the Temple. She comes to our aid in times of difficulty, as at the wedding in Cana. She never leaves our side even as we leave this world in death. She takes care of us as she has taken care of Jesus, from his birth to his death.
Confident of her motherly affection, we invoke her intercession for this particular favor that we beseech you to grant us in our unworthiness, according to your will:

May our devotion to our Mother Mary, the Miraculous Virgin of Badoc, be the Cause of our Joy, now and forever. Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
Oh Virgin Mary, on the occasion of the Church crowning of your amazing image, it is in acknowledgment of the will of God that you will be exalted among all creatures. Like the granting of Christ of your request in Cana, we believe that you and vigor journey and to love our Father and the Son who gives you worth in the wellspring of blessing which we so dearly need, and of the Holy Spirit.
You bare honored forever, O Mary. Amen.
