"The Journey of Music and Faith: A Dream Realized"
June 29,2024 was a memorable day for the children as it marks their RECITAL DAY - a celebration of their hard work,passion and growth.
Amidst the nervousness that the kids (and even we adults) felt, what shines brighter is our excitement and determination to receive the certificates that represent the fruits of our labor. After 18 dedicated sessions from January 2024 to June 2024, we can proudly say that we are ready to serve God through music.
But before everything else, let us share the humble beginnings of the Aniban Ukulele Ensemble.
Short Biography:
It all began as a simple dream to learn how to play the guitar. Sis. Gwim G. Audal's dream found hope when she met Ma’am Ammi San Jose Sager at Aniban SDA Church, where Ma’am Ammi was a visitor. Discovering that Ma’am Ammi was skilled in teaching string instruments, Sis. Gwim saw an opportunity. However, convincing Ma’am Ammi to share her talent wasn’t easy. Living in Parañaque and already teaching another group of children, Ma’am Ammi found it challenging to commit.
Years passed, but God had a plan. In 2023, their paths crossed again, and Sis. Gwim renewed her proposal for Ma’am Ammi to teach ukulele at Aniban Church. This time, in God's perfect timing, Ma’am Ammi agreed. By November 2023, Sis. Gwim formally presented the proposal to the Church Board, outlining her vision for a ukulele group for children. With unanimous support, the plan was set into motion.
With prayers and determination, they moved forward. On January 13, 2024, the first ukulele class began with 20 eager children and youth. This marked the official birth of the Aniban Ukulele Ensemble (AUE), a group dedicated to glorifying God through music.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents who supported this ministry wholeheartedly and encourage their children.And most importantly, to our Heavenly Father who blessed us with wisdom and knowledge,we extend our deepest gratitude.. May this be just the beginning of inspiring more young people to use their talents for God's Glory!
To the Aniban Ukulele Ensemble: May your music continue to echo God’s love.
