“The Miracle Is Standing Beside You”

John 5:8

“Jesus said to him, ‘Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.’” — John 5:8 (NIV)

For 38 years, this man had been lying beside the pool, waiting for his situation to change. He had a reason to stay where he was—he had no one to help him. But when Jesus came, He did not simply ask about his past; Jesus spoke a word that called him to move forward.

Sometimes, we become so familiar with our waiting, our disappointments, and our limitations that we forget the One who can change everything is already standing beside us. Jesus may be asking you today to rise from the place where you have been stuck—not because your situation is easy, but because His word is greater than your circumstances.

The miracle was not in the pool. The miracle was standing beside him. And when Jesus said, “Get up,” the man had to respond in faith.

Whatever has kept you down—fear, disappointment, failure, delay, or discouragement—hear the voice of Jesus today: “Get up.” Your past may explain where you have been, but it does not have to determine where you are going. When Jesus speaks, trust His word, rise in faith, and take the next step.

The One you have been waiting for may already be standing beside you.

ONE BODY. ONE SPIRIT. ONE GOD 🙌

Ephesians 4:3–6 (NKJV)

“Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”

We may be different in gifts, backgrounds, and personalities, but we are called to walk together in the same Spirit and serve the same God. Let unity be stronger than our differences, because we are one body, one Spirit, and one Lord.

“The Way God Hates, the Life God Loves”

📖 Proverbs 15:9 (KJV)

“The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.”

God does not delight in wickedness, but He delights in those who sincerely pursue righteousness. This verse is not saying that only perfect people are loved by God. Rather, it reminds us that God loves a heart that continually seeks to walk in His ways, even when the journey requires repentance, growth, and surrender.

The “way of the wicked” is a lifestyle that knowingly rejects God’s truth and chooses sin over obedience. In contrast, the one who “follows after righteousness” is someone who intentionally pursues God’s will each day. Righteousness is not about earning God’s love—it is about responding to His grace by living a life that honors Him.

Be encouraged today: God is not looking for flawless people; He is looking for faithful hearts. Every step you take toward Him, every choice to obey His Word, every act of repentance, and every desire to live for Him is precious in His sight. Keep pursuing righteousness, even when it is difficult, because God delights in those who seek Him wholeheartedly.
