Today we were reminded that our obedience to God is not based on legalism, but on His amazing grace. We don't obey to earn God's loveโ€”we obey because we have already received His love through Christ.

Topic: Legalistic Obedience
vs.
Grace-Based Obedience
Teacher : Rev. Doc. Robert Dosal

May we continue to walk in faith, love, and joyful obedience, reflecting the grace that God has freely given us.

โœจWORD OF GOD ๐Ÿ“–

Searching the Heart: What God Hates
Text: Proverbs 6:16โ€“19
By: Rev. Doc. Pastor Robert A. Dosal

This passage does not teach that God is looking for reasons to condemn people. Rather, it reveals the attitudes and actions that destroy our relationship with God and with others. God calls us to repentance and to a transformed heart.

I. God Hates a Proud LookLesson: Pride exalts self and looks down on others. God delights in those who walk in humility.

Key Verse: James 4:6 โ€“ "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."

Application: Recognize that everything we have is a gift from God, and choose to live with humility.

II. God Hates a Lying TongueLesson: Lying destroys trust and reflects a lack of integrity.

Key Verse: Ephesians 4:25

Application: Speak the truth in love and let honesty characterize your life.

III. God Hates Hands That Shed Innocent BloodLesson: God values every human life and hates violence, hatred, and injustice.

Key Verse: Matthew 5:21-22

Application: Be a defender of life, pursue peace, and treat others with love and respect.

IV. God Hates a Heart That Devises Wicked PlansLesson: God sees the motives of the heart, not just outward actions.

Key Verses: Jeremiah 17:9 | Psalm 51:10

Application: Allow God's Word to guide your thoughts, motives, and plans.

V. God Hates Feet That Run Quickly to EvilLesson: A true believer should not be eager to sin but eager to do what is right.

Key Verse: Romans 12:21

Application: Turn away from temptation and choose to walk in obedience to God.

VI. God Hates a False WitnessLesson: False testimony damages reputations, destroys trust, and harms others.

Key Verse: Exodus 20:16

Application: Be truthful, honest, and fair in everything you say.

VII. God Hates One Who Sows Discord Among BrothersLesson: Gossip, slander, and division destroy the unity of families and the church.

Key Verses: John 17:22 | Matthew 5:9

Application: Be a peacemaker by promoting forgiveness, unity, and reconciliation.

APPLICATION (PROVERBS 6:16โ€“19)
God's Word invites us to examine our hearts, not just our outward actions. Proverbs 6:16โ€“19 reminds us that God is concerned with both our attitudes and our behavior.

ASK YOURSELF:

Is there pride in my heart?

Am I always truthful?

Do my actions honor the value of life?

What thoughts fill my heart each day?

Am I pursuing righteousness or giving in to sin?

Is my testimony honest and trustworthy?

Am I building unity or causing division among others?

LIFE APPLICATION:
God desires to transform every area of our livesโ€”our eyes (what we focus on), tongue (what we say), hands (what we do), heart (our motives), feet (the path we choose), and relationships (how we treat others). True holiness begins with a heart surrendered to Him.

CONCLUSION
The seven things God hates reveal that He is deeply concerned with both our inner character and our outward actions. Sin begins in the heart and eventually affects our words, actions, and relationships.

The good news is that God's grace is available to everyone who repents and puts their faith in Jesus Christ. Through Him, we can receive a new heart and live a life that pleases God.

KEY TAKEAWAY
"God is not only interested in changing our behaviorโ€”He wants to transform our hearts. When our hearts are surrendered to Christ, our words, actions, and relationships will reflect His love and holiness."

โš ๏ธ

2. Pagsisinungaling ๐Ÿคฅ
๐Ÿ“– Kawikaan 12:22
"Ang mga sinungaling ay kasuklam-suklam sa Panginoon, ngunit kinalulugdan Niya ang mga tapat."

3. Pagtsitsismis (Gossip) ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
๐Ÿ“– Kawikaan 16:28

Totoo ba?

Makakatulong ba?

Makapagpapatibay ba?

Magbibigay ba ito ng kaluwalhatian sa Diyos?

Godbless you!
