A Catholic man survived after the building beneath him collapsed during the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela. 🙏

Kamar Galíndez was trapped beneath the rubble with a fractured arm and a massive beam pressing against his chest. As the building fell, he prayed, “Lord, have mercy.”

After being rescued, he discovered that the Miraculous Medal he had worn around his neck had somehow ended up inside the zippered pocket of his shorts, even though the chain had broken during the collapse.

Galíndez credits his survival to God’s mercy and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

“I have no doubt. Absolutely,” he said. “The Miraculous Medal saved me.”

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
