In Matthew 7:7–11, Jesus reminds us that we can come directly to God in prayer. He is not a distant ruler but a loving Father who delights in His children. When we ask, seek, and knock, we are not left in uncertainty, because His response is always shaped by His goodness, His wisdom, and His generosity. 🩷
✨ God is Good ✨
God’s goodness is the foundation of our confidence in prayer. Jesus illustrates this by pointing to earthly fathers, though imperfect, they still know how to give good things to their children. If flawed human parents can show such care, how much more will our perfect Heavenly Father, whose nature is pure goodness? His goodness assures us that every prayer is heard with compassion, and every answer flows from His loving heart. We can rest knowing that we do not need to earn His favor; His goodness is constant and unchanging.
✨ God is Wise ✨
When we pray, God’s wisdom guides His answers. Just as a father would not give his child a stone when asked for bread, God will never give us something that could harm us. He sees the bigger picture of our lives and knows what is best for us, even when it is not what we expect. His wisdom means that His “no” or “wait” is not rejection but protection and redirection toward something better. Our faith deepens when we learn to trust His timing and His ways, knowing that His thoughts are higher than ours.
✨ God is Generous ✨
God not only gives what is good and wise but also gives abundantly. He is a generous Father who delights in blessing His children beyond measure. Jesus emphasizes that if earthly fathers can give good gifts, our Heavenly Father will give even more. His generosity is ultimately revealed in the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. If He did not withhold His very best from us, how much more can we trust Him to provide everything else we truly need? God’s generosity invites us to approach Him with boldness, knowing He is not stingy but overflowing with love and provision.
✨ Conclusion: ✨
Prayer is powerful because of who God is. We do not come to Him as beggars hoping for scraps, but as children approaching a Father who is good, wise, and generous. His answers may not always match our requests, but they always reflect His perfect love for us.
✨ Challenge: ✨
As Christians, let us draw near to God with confidence. Pray boldly, because He invites us to ask, seek, and knock. Pray with trust, knowing that His wisdom shapes every answer. Pray consistently, refusing to give up even when the answer seems delayed. And pray with gratitude, recognizing every blessing as a reflection of His goodness. Let us go direct to God, because in His presence we find a Father who loves us more than we can imagine.
✨ But here is the real challenge: ✨
If God is truly a loving Father who gives only what is best, are you willing to surrender your timing, your expectations, and even your desires to His perfect will? It is easy to trust God when His answer matches what we want, but real faith is shown when we can say, “Lord, not my will but Yours be done.” Will you allow Him to write your story, even if it looks different from what you imagined? 🩷
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!🙌
