It is not our apology to make but we feel that we have to apologise for Fr. Ernie Larida's abuse of the pulpit today.

In his Homily during the 7am mass, Fr. Ernie Larida, Rector not the Parish Priest, while speaking about the unity of the Holy Trinity, mentioned the May 9 and May 12 celebrations of the golden anniversary. He asked why can't he celebrate said occasion on May 12 since he is the parish priest and that he wanted it celebrated with the first anniversary of Fr. Julius Habana. Why was there a need to celebrate it on May 9 since he announced first that there was a May 12? According to him, the celebration on May 9 is the devil's work for causing division in his parish.

We apologise that Fr. Ernie Larida, who has been with us for more than a year doesn't understand the importance of our church's Golden Anniversary and would rather celebrate it with a priest's anniversary like a double feature film. We feel really bad that those who planned and celebrated the May 9 mass were insinuated to have been working with the devil.

Homilies are supposed to be filled with message of love and truth not message of hate and lies. We apologise for his pulpit abuse today and the many times he let his verbal diarrhoea run during his past Homily tirades.

Please share this heartfelt apology

These are pages of information timeline compiled by the SJI BOT regarding the events that lead to the split with LRMS, the partnership with the Salesians, the entry of the Diocese into our Queen of Peace Church and the nonresponse to the call for dialogue with the Diocese. Report is until May 3 of this year. Included are copies of Msgr. Su's letter to the Bishop and the LRMS' resignation letter. It is only now that they have made this available.

TO ALL ALUMNI, JOHNIANS AND JOHNIANS AT HEART:
We have received several inquiries about today's celebration mass.

Please note that THERE IS NO TRUTH to Fr. Ernie Larida's announcement during the 7am and 10am mass last Sunday that the 4pm mass today to commemorate Hua Ming's Queen of Peace Church golden anniversary is postponed. PLEASE DISREGARD HIS STATEMENT.

Let us not allow erroneous statements deter us in celebrating our church's milestone and Msgr. John Liu and Msgr. John Su's achievement.

SEE YOU ALL TODAY, MAY 9, 2016 AT 4PM TO CELEBRATE HUA MING'S QUEEN OF PEACE CHURCH'S GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY.
