WHO IS DAVID?

2 Samuel 23:1 NIV
These are the last words of David:
“The inspired utterance of David son of Jesse, the utterance of the man exalted by the Most High, the man anointed by the God of Jacob, the hero of Israel's songs:
Most of people are afraid of wilderness because it is associated with darkness which means unknown things, uncertain. Some consider it to be a way. Pero kapag sinabi rin nating wilderness ay judgement ng tao. It is also an abandonment in the wasteland. Even death can be considered as wilderness.
But if you will check the Scripture, in the ancient Hebrew mind, wilderness is considered as a place of order.
In Hebrew word, it is midvar which means wilderness.
The 40 days wilderness of Christ pave the way for the 3 years success of ministry in order.
There are important things that we need to check:
David and Goliath
"Ang batang pumatay ng higante." Mali tayo kung ito lang ang pagkakakilala natin kay David because is not only about killing the Goliath but he is a person with a lot of series of Goliaths na pinabagsak niya sa kaniyang buhay sa iba't ibang forms.
* His inspired word
Psalms 22:1
Minsan pinapadama sayo ng Diyos ang nararansan mo ngayon para sabihin sayo ng Diyos na "anak nararamdaman mo na ngayon yung nararamdaman ko."
Si David ay isang replica ng future na magaganap sa anak niya.
Psalm 22:6, 7, 14, 17, 18
Jesus died with a broken heart. Privilege natin na magsuffer with God. Wag kang angal ng angal.
Minsan sa wilderness natin lumalabas ang word of God. Huwag nating ipagmalaki ang nakamtam natin kung hindi ang sasabihin natin sa panahon ng wilderness. Nakapagpalabas kana ba ng word of God sa wilderness mo?
Dadating sa buhay ng isang Kristyano na maghahari sa buhay at bibig niya ang Salita ng Diyos.
* The Utterance of the man exalted by the Most High
There were many Goliaths in David's life and one of these is Saul.
Promotion comes from God, demotion comes from men, ang promotion kapag ninakaw ng tao, it will be a demotion from men.
2 Samuel 3:1
Palakas ng palakas at pataas ng pataas si David. Hindi siya kailanman nagmalaki sa Panginoon.
Psalms 19:7-10
What is David's secret? Its the word of God. Hindi mo mapapatumba ang taong nakarely sa Salita ng Diyos.
You can't put down a person being put up by God.
Hindi mo mapipigilan na itaas ka ng tao kapag nakikita nila ang Diyos sa buhay mo.
* The Man Anointed by the God of Jacob
Mahirap pabagsakin ang taong anak ng Diyos.
Annointed is whether propeta, hari o pari.
Bakit Jacob? Because it is an example of how gracious God is. The God of Jacob changes the unqualified to be qualified. He is a sample of imperfection.
Sin has bitter consequences. Binago ni Lord si David ng 100% sa wilderness niya.
Psalms 51: 2, 7, 10
He availed God's wisdom and blessings. Isang bagay na kahit pagbayaran niya at tatanggapin siya ng Diyos na nagbibigay ng marami pang pagkakataon.
The God of David is the god of second chances.
* The hero of Israel's songs
Sa wilderness niya lumabas ang ganda ng kanta.
Saan galing ang kanta ni David? Psalms 40:3
Kapag may problema ka, kumanta ka!
It is Jesus' duty to provide healing on those who are inflicted by it. Wag mong iangat sarili mo, hayaan mong iangat ka ni Lord. The God of Jacob is with you in the wilderness. And sing the song of God.
