Grateful hearts in action. 🙏

The Laymen of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (LIFI) of the Parish of St. Joseph the Worker, Bacolod City, generously donated brand new monobloc chairs for the church. These were made possible through funds raised from IFI car stickers during the Lenten season and LIFI-sponsored second offerings during the first quarter of the year.

The chairs were blessed by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Melvin P. Fajardo, marking a meaningful moment of faith and service.

A simple yet significant gift that will serve many and strengthen our shared worship and community life. 💒

The delegation was composed of 9 youth camper delegates who represented the parish with excellence.

Guided by the theme, “𝑅𝑜𝑜𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑛 𝐹𝑎𝑖𝑡ℎ, 𝐴𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐹𝑎𝑖𝑡ℎ. 𝐴𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑢𝑟𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑒. 𝐴𝑑𝑣𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑐ℎ,” this achievement reflects not only talent, but a deep commitment to mission.

As the highest synodical gathering of the Diocese, the Diocesan Convention brought together the 10 Parishes and 6 Missions of the Diocese of Bago in a three-day event marked by a spirit of dialogue, discernment, and unity. It was also a valuable opportunity to connect, listen, and grow together with the Clergy, LIFI, WOPIC, YIFI, and the Diocesan Council. Key matters were taken up, including resolutions and consensus-building, the presentation of financial reports, the election of a new set of the Diocesan Council, and the presentation and affirmation of the 10-Year Strategic Plan for the Diocese.

We also rejoice in the outcome of the Special Convention, where Bishop Virgilio B. Amihan Jr. was re-elected to continue his episcopal leadership for another seven years. His steadfast guidance remains a source of strength and direction for the Diocese.

As we go back to our respective Parishes and Missions, we carry with us renewed commitment, clearer direction, and a deeper sense of mission in serving God and His people.
