Praying for all affected by the typhoon.

Asking all our friends and supporters to pray for the people in General Santos City, Mindanao.

They just experienced a 7.2 earthquake, and from reports I've heard there have been some fatalities, and lots of injuries. I'll update as I know more about the situation of our churches and missions there.

Thanks for praying.

Yep! I have started putting up my Christmas tree. The first ornament on it is my beautiful cardinal. The old saying is when you see a cardinal, angels are near, or something like that. Our Heavenly Father is in charge of the cardinals and the angels. To me, it is God saying, keep living, laughing, and loving, Tristan (He is not an Angel. He is part of the redeemed.)and all of your loved ones are living a life that only you can imagine for now. Oh! But what a day that will be, when my Jesus I can see! Merry Christmas!
By the way, I should have started Christmas celebrations on September 1, but I am a little behind.

Just received news that Ptr. Gospel Suratos, one of our BMAP Tribal Missionary Coordinators on the island of Mindanao died suddenly today. From what I have been able to piece together he started having some labored breathing earlier in the day, then got progressively worse into the evening hours. He was admitted at a local hospital but died shortly after. Please lift up his family and church family in your prayers.

He will be greatly missed, but has received his eternal reward.

Thankful to everyone who prayed for me and my family during my trip back to the Philippines.

I made it home to Gulfport, MS last night around 7pm, and have gotten a good night's sleep.

The trip was productive, with great meetings and planning sessions for the BMAP Missions Program. Our brethren there are doing a great work, and God is blessing their efforts.

Excited to see God using the churches of the BMAA and the BMAP to further His kingdom, and bring people from every tribe and tongue to Him.

Got a lot to do the next few days, so it will probably be next week before I get to slow down any at all, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Picture is my view of Gulfport, MS as we were coming around to land.

Yesterday, I was also able to attend the 72nd Anniversary of Bacolod Trinity Christian Church. At the end of their worship service they ordained their new pastor.

Beginning as a ministry of this church in 1976 Trinity Christian School was begun. It was such a blessing to several foreign missionary families, including ours, as they all needed a place for their MK's to attend school.

I am a product of this school, and by extension this church, as they created a place where you not only got a quality education, but one with a Christian worldview as well.

I have been honored to speak to the students, and congregation a few times over the years, and yesterday was no exception, as they asked me to address the congregation as we were enjoying the lunch meal.

I pray the Lord continues to bless this church and school tremendously, as they strive to make Jesus' name known to everyone around them.

Something you will only see in the Philippines!

A tricycle (motorcycle with side car) loaded down with items to sell at the local markets, or even on the side of the road, if someone flags him down.

That's a mobile Filipino Neiborhood Wal-Mart!

Had a great time of worship with Granada Missionary Baptist Church yesterday morning.

Ptr. Ariel Bermejo and the entire church family are such sweet people, and God is truly blessing their efforts.

I was thrilled to be able to share God's message with His people, and could only weep as they responded to the message.

It was also their Pastor Appreciation Sunday, and it was beautiful to watch this church family love on their undershepherd. A representative from each of their classes: young ones, youth, brotherhood, and ladies took turns giving him a gift and sharing a few words of appreciation and love towards him.

Keep up the great work for the Lord! Your labor is not in vain!

Had a great time with the pastors and ladies at the BMANI WMA Fellowship today.

The ladies had their meeting, and the pastor's and I had an open forum for discussion since it's been a while for all of us to get together in person.

For me the realization of just how precious time together with God's people should be for all of us who are in the family of God.

What a wonderful time of refreshing and such a blessing.

Asking for prayers as I get ready to fly to the Philippines in the morning.

I’m looking forward to getting there and working with our great Filipino pastors and missionaries for a few weeks of fellowship, mission planning, equipping and training.

I am praying that by October of this year things will be settled better, and the restrictions will be lax enough, that a team of trainers will be able to accompany me back again for a time of ministering to our Filipino counterparts.

I am thankful that God is still using me to be beneficial to the ministry in the Philippines. Working with the BMAP and BMAA as a missions coordinator is an answer to my prayers, and is truly a privilege to me.

I will always believe that “TOGETHER WE DO MORE”, and I am glad that God is continuing to reveal that principle to us, and our brethren all over the world, as we seek to make God’s name great among the nations.

In Christ Alone,

Bro. Sam Freeman
