AFTERNOON SERVICE

NOT WASTED
Theme: Extravagant Devotion to Jesus is Never Wasted
October 4, 2026

I believe all of us won’t be here this morning if we haven’t heard the Word of God and
responded to it in a way that got us all saved. We all know what John 3:16 says “God so loved
the world…” and it is the verse most people have memorized or can easily be quoted because it clearly speaks about how a person can receive salvation by believing in Jesus Christ. Paul also made it clear in his letter to the Romans by saying that it is through hearing the word, believing with the heart, and confessing with the mouth that one gets saved.

Spirituality is not proven by what we know about God, but by what His Word is producing in us.

The Word of God was never given merely to be heard on Sunday. It was given to govern our lives.

We live in a world constantly shaping our desires, values, priorities, and identity. But the call of God is to become people who are shaped by His Word instead.

To live the Word is to let Scripture confront us when it is uncomfortable. It is to obey when obedience costs us something. It is to choose the will of God over what the world tells us we should want.

The Holy Spirit does not empower us simply to have spiritual experiences. He transforms the way we live.

See you tomorrow, remember service starts at 8 am.

As christians we often are very aware of our surroundings and life, event the life of others. We easily see what is right and also or most especially what is wrong. As workers and leaders of our church we also drift away with the overwhelming tasks, schedules and responsibilities that often we caught ourselves doing it even with our eyes closed...

SENIOR CITIZEN SUNDAY

We celebrate and honor the senior citizens in our church family. We thank God for their lives, their faith, and the years they have shared with us as part of our congregation.

Their presence reminds us of God’s faithfulness through every season of life. As a church family, we are blessed to learn from their wisdom, listen to their stories, and be encouraged by their continued faith and service.

Senior Citizen Sunday is also a reminder that every generation has a place and a purpose in the body of Christ. We celebrate the generations that came before us, the generation we belong to today, and those who will continue the work of faith tomorrow.

We give thanks for our senior citizens and for the important place they hold in our church family. May we continue to walk together, care for one another, and grow in faith.
