On 15 August, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Feast of St. Tarcisius, Patron of Altar Servers, our parish community gathers in prayer and thanksgiving for those who have answered the call to serve at the altar.

Through the Investiture and Renewal of Vows, our altar servers renew their commitment to serve God and His Church with reverence, humility, faith, and love for the Most Holy Eucharist.

May the example of St. Tarcisius inspire them to serve with courage and devotion, and may the Blessed Virgin Mary lead them ever closer to Christ.

We commend Batch St. Augustine of Hippo to your prayers as they embrace this sacred ministry.

Karon nga adlaw Agosto 10, maga-abot na ang aton bag-o nga Obispo, 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝗲 𝗣. 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗦𝗧𝗛𝗗, 𝗗𝗗., nga nagikan sa Diocesis sang Kabankalan.

Ang mahal nga Obispo maga-tapak sa aton Diocesis sa takna ala-una sini nga hapon, sa boundary sa Diocesis sang Kabankalan kag Bacolod. Gina-agda ang tanan sa pag abi-abi sa aton bag-o nga Obispo kag sa pagtambong man sa iya Installation buwas, Agosto 11, sa San Sebastian Cathedral.

Padayon kami nga maga hatag sa imo sang amon mga pangamuyo, kag indi gid namon malimtan ang imo nga pag-giya sa amon kag ang imo dedikasyon kag mga sakripisyo para sa ika-maayo sang aton Diocesis. Gani sa liwat, madamo gid nga salamat 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙫. 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙤 𝘼. 𝘽𝙪𝙯𝙤𝙣, 𝙎𝘿𝘽, 𝘿𝘿.!

𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁

“Behold this Heart which has so loved men.”

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus celebrates the boundless love, mercy, and compassion of Christ for all humanity. Symbolized by a Heart crowned with thorns, pierced by a lance, and burning with divine love, the Sacred Heart reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross and His enduring desire to draw every soul closer to Him. This devotion, widely spread through the revelations given to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, invites the faithful to contemplate the depth of Christ’s love and the mercy flowing from His Sacred Heart.

On this sacred feast, the Church calls us to respond to Christ’s love with trust, devotion, and conversion of heart. Spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, receive the Sacraments, and offer acts of charity and forgiveness to those around you. As we honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus, may our hearts be transformed by His love, becoming instruments of mercy, compassion, and peace in a world that longs for His presence.

𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁
"Veni, Creator Spiritus, mentes tuorum visita, imple superna gratia quae tu creasti pectora."

Pentecost Sunday, celebrated fifty days after Easter, commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary, marking the birth of the Church and the beginning of her mission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. As recounted in the Acts of the Apostles, the Holy Spirit came like a mighty wind and tongues of fire, empowering the disciples with courage, wisdom, and the gift of speaking in many languages. This sacred feast reminds us that the same Holy Spirit continues to guide, sanctify, and strengthen the faithful today.

On this solemn day, the Church invites us to open our hearts to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Pray the Veni Creator Spiritus, “Come, Creator Spirit, visit the souls of Your people…”, asking for His wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, may we not only receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit but also live as courageous witnesses of Christ, bringing His truth, peace, and love into the world.

The Most Reverend Bishop Galbines is set to be formally installed as the 7th Bishop of Bacolod on 11 August 2026 at 9:00 in the morning at San Sebastian Cathedral, Bacolod City.

As instructed by the Dicastery for Bishops, our Diocese is now in a period of sede vacante until the newly appointed Bishop takes canonical possession of the Diocese.

The Dicastery has appointed Bishop Buzon as Bishop-Emeritus and Apostolic Administrator, with the rights, duties, and faculties proper to a Diocesan Bishop. Hence, in the Eucharistic Prayer, we will no longer mention Patricio as “our Bishop,” but rather as “+PATRICIO, OUR APOSTOLIC ADMINISTRATOR.” In Hiligaynon, “+PATRICIO ANG AMON ADMINISTRADOR.”

For the meantime, there should be no mention yet of +Louie as our Bishop in the liturgy until he formally takes canonical possession.

𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗺𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗺 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝘂𝗺!

Pope Leo XIV has appointed His Excellency Most Rev. Bp. Louie Galbines, StHD, D.D. as the New Bishop of the Diocese of Bacolod, and will replace the outgoing Bishop of the Diocese, Most. Rev. Bp. Patricio A. Buzon, SDB, D.D.

No further details yet about the transfer and Installation of the New Bishop. Stay tuned for more updates.
