โCome to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.โ We all carry heavy loads, stress, worry, guilt, responsibilities, or the pressure to be perfect. Jesus doesnโt scold us for being tired He calls us to come exactly as we are.
God hides His truths from the โwise and learnedโ but reveals them to โlittle ones.โ At first this seems puzzling and confusing, but it makes sense through as I reflect deeper into it. Those who rely only on their own intelligence, strength, or ability to solve every problem often think they can map out their own future. When things donโt go as they planned, they feel lost or defeated. But to those who remain humble, trusting like children, believing that God always has a way, He opens up understanding and paths no human mind could imagine.
I remember clearly what my religion teacher once told me "God always has a way.โ May paagi gd ang Ginoo. Hearing that passage brings those words back to life, because it shows exactly how God works, not according to human plans, but according to HIS OWN GRACIOUS WILL.
There have been times when I felt stuck, problems too heavy to carry, situations with no visible solution, and questions I couldnโt answer no matter how hard I tried. Just when I thought there was no way forward, that saying came back "May paagi gd ang ginoo." This is exactly what Jesus promises when He invites, โCome to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.โ
When we link our lives to His, we learn His ways meekness and humility instead of pride and striving. His guidance simplifies our choices, lightens our worries, and gives us deep peace, not just a temporary break, but lasting rest for our soul. As what St. Augustine said "Our heart is restless until it rests in you oh God."
My Religion teacherโs words are more than just advice, they are the truth of this Gospel. When I face confusion, exhaustion, or dead ends, I donโt have to rely only on what I see or understand. God reveals His plans to those who trust Him, and He carries what I cannot. Truly, God always has a way, and that way leads straight to peace and rest in Jesus.
Stop trying to โearnโ or โfigure outโ everything through my own strength. Be like a child, trusting, open, and dependent. Bring my weariness, my confusion, and my struggles straight to Jesus. In His gentleness, I find the wisdom I cannot gain on my own, and the rest the world can never give.
