"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength."
- Mark 12:30

May we love God not only in our prayers, but also in our choices, our work, our words, and the way we treat the people He places in our lives.

Whatever this week brings - joys, challenges, victories, or setbacks - may our greatest desire remain the same: to love God above all else. When He is at the center, everything else finds its proper place.

Have a blessed and grace-filled week! ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

The Parable of the Sower is one of the most meaningful teachings of Jesus because it reminds me that even if Godโ€™s words are powerful, its effect still depends on how open my heart is to receive it.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽIn the Gospel, the sower scatters seeds everywhere without holding anything back. This shows me that God does not choose only few people to love. Instead, He gives everyone the opportunity to know Him,grow in faith and live according to His will.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThere are times that I feel I am in the path where I hear Godโ€™s word but fail to understand or pay attention to it beacause Iโ€™m distracted by school, social media, entertainment, or my own thoughts, instead of allowing His message to stay in my heart. I feel inspired after praying, attending mass, or hearing His good message, but when challenges, disappointments, and temptations come, my faith becomes weak. I begin to question God instead of trusting Him.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWhat gives me hope is that Jesus does not tell this parable to condemn us but to invite us to change. He wants each of us to become rich like the soil where His Word can grow deeply and produce abundant fruit. A good soil is not a perfect soil. It is a heart that is humble, willing to listen, eager to learn, and ready to obey and trust God even when it is difficult. Becoming a good soil requires daily effort through prayer, reading the Bible, receiving the sacraments, serving others, and choosing what is right even when no one is watching. As I continue to grow in faith, I understand that God is patient with me. He continues to sow His love, mercy, and truth into my life because He believes that I can bear fruit.

The Catholic Church is the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago to continue His mission of proclaiming the Gospel and leading all people to salvation. Before ascending into heaven, Jesus entrusted this mission to the Apostles (Mt. 28:19โ€“20) and established St. Peter as the visible head of His Church, saying, "You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church" (Mt. 16:18โ€“19). Today, this mission continues through the Pope, the successor of St. Peter, together with the bishops in communion with him.

The Church is a home where Christ welcomes us despite our weaknesses, nourishes us through His Word and the Sacraments, and calls us to grow in faith, hope, and love. No matter where we are in our journey, He continually invites us to follow Him, because being a Catholic means walking with Christ every day.

For generations, Mary has been a source of comfort, hope, and inspiration for those seeking Godโ€™s presence in their lives. Her quiet strength, unwavering trust, and compassionate heart remind us that holiness is found not only in extraordinary moments but also in everyday faithfulness.

As we honor her, may we be encouraged to follow her example - living with kindness, choosing faith over fear, and placing our lives in Godโ€™s hands. May her life inspire us to grow closer to Christ and become instruments of His love wherever we are.

As we begin a new week, let us carry God's Word in our hearts:

We love because He first loved us.
- 1 John 4:19

May this week be an opportunity for us to love just as how He loves us. Love that is not just shown through words but extends through actions. Love towards God and all of His creations, including yourself! And as we practice this day by day this week, let us always know where the source of love came from.

Have a Blessed Week!

โ€œCome to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.โ€ We all carry heavy loads, stress, worry, guilt, responsibilities, or the pressure to be perfect. Jesus doesnโ€™t scold us for being tired He calls us to come exactly as we are.

God hides His truths from the โ€œwise and learnedโ€ but reveals them to โ€œlittle ones.โ€ At first this seems puzzling and confusing, but it makes sense through as I reflect deeper into it. Those who rely only on their own intelligence, strength, or ability to solve every problem often think they can map out their own future. When things donโ€™t go as they planned, they feel lost or defeated. But to those who remain humble, trusting like children, believing that God always has a way, He opens up understanding and paths no human mind could imagine.

I remember clearly what my religion teacher once told me "God always has a way.โ€ May paagi gd ang Ginoo. Hearing that passage brings those words back to life, because it shows exactly how God works, not according to human plans, but according to HIS OWN GRACIOUS WILL.

There have been times when I felt stuck, problems too heavy to carry, situations with no visible solution, and questions I couldnโ€™t answer no matter how hard I tried. Just when I thought there was no way forward, that saying came back "May paagi gd ang ginoo." This is exactly what Jesus promises when He invites, โ€œCome to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.โ€

When we link our lives to His, we learn His ways meekness and humility instead of pride and striving. His guidance simplifies our choices, lightens our worries, and gives us deep peace, not just a temporary break, but lasting rest for our soul. As what St. Augustine said "Our heart is restless until it rests in you oh God."

My Religion teacherโ€™s words are more than just advice, they are the truth of this Gospel. When I face confusion, exhaustion, or dead ends, I donโ€™t have to rely only on what I see or understand. God reveals His plans to those who trust Him, and He carries what I cannot. Truly, God always has a way, and that way leads straight to peace and rest in Jesus.

Stop trying to โ€œearnโ€ or โ€œfigure outโ€ everything through my own strength. Be like a child, trusting, open, and dependent. Bring my weariness, my confusion, and my struggles straight to Jesus. In His gentleness, I find the wisdom I cannot gain on my own, and the rest the world can never give.

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 118:24

Start this week with a grateful heart. Every sunrise is a reminder of God's faithfulness, every new day an opportunity to walk in His grace. Rejoice, trust, and embrace the blessings He has prepared for you.

In this Gospel, Jesus reminds us to put Him first in everything we do. He teaches us that following Him means giving Him the highest place in our lives and trusting His plan above our own desires. When we choose God first, we learn to face every challenge with faith and confidence because we know that He is always guiding us.

As a youth president who experiences different struggles and challenges in serving the ministry, I have realized that these experiences are opportunities to strengthen my faith and deepen my relationship with the Lord. Instead of being discouraged by difficulties, I choose to offer my service to God and trust that He will give me the strength I need.

This Gospel reminds me that everything in this world is temporary, and we should not place our complete trust in worldly things. Instead, we should always rely on God because He knows what is best for us. Whether we face small problems or great challenges, God provides the wisdom, courage, and blessings we need.

I will always treasure the words, โ€œGod will provide.โ€ When we put God first and dedicate everything we do for His glory, He will listen to our prayers and bless us in His perfect time. His plans may not always be the same as ours, but they will always lead us to something greater because they come from His love.

Through this Gospel, I am reminded to continue serving with faith, humility, and trust, knowing that when God is first in my life, everything else will follow according to His will.

The first part of our Pastoral Visit concluded this morning, with our Bishop and Fr. Louan, Pastoral Director, listening to the concerns, updates, and pastoral initiatives of our BEC, Family and Life, and Youth ministries.

This afternoon, the focus shifts to the temporal affairs of the parish as the Bishop meets with our Parish Finance Council (PFC) together with our Oeconomus, and Chancellor-Secretary to review financial matters, stewardship, and the responsible management of the resources entrusted to our parish.

Let us continue to pray for the success of this Pastoral Visit and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all our discussions. ๐Ÿ™โ›ช๏ธ

As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus alongside our nation's Independence Day, we are reminded that true freedom begins in a heart rooted in faith, love, and service. The Sacred Heart of Jesus reveals His boundless mercy and compassion, calling us to live with courage, hope, and generosity toward others. May His perfect love inspire us to become faithful disciples and responsible citizens who work for peace and unity.

As one community in St. Matthew Quasi-Parish, let us offer prayers for our country, our families, and all those in need of God's grace. May the love of Christ guide our leaders and strengthen our commitment to building a just and compassionate society.
