A New Core Team for a Renewed Mission โ
A new QPP Alpha Core Team has been formed under the leadership of our Parish Priest, Fr. Mitchel Guadalupe, bringing together different groups in the parish for one shared mission: to reach out, listen, accompany, and create spaces where people can encounter Christ in a more personal way.
This initiative responds to three key focus groups identified through the Diocesan Pastoral Assembly that need greater pastoral attention: Youth, Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC), and Families.
Each area will be accompanied by a team with its own experience to bring to the mission.
FCCY Bacolod, having completed the Alpha Series in 2024, will journey with the Parish Youth, creating a welcoming space where young people can freely talk about life, faith, questions, and everything in between.
Our Catechists, fresh from completing their own Alpha journey, will take on the mission of bringing Alpha to our BECs, helping strengthen faith and community at the grassroots level. The Young Adults who completed their series in 2025 will help the parish organizations and ministries.
For Families, a group of young married couples both from the BEC, organizations and ministries will help introduce the Alpha Marriage Course, providing couples with an opportunity to invest in their relationship, communicate more deeply, and strengthen their marriage.
Before these programs begin, the Core Team is set to undergo a refresher and preparation session, allowing everyone to revisit the heart and culture of Alpha and prepare for the different programs ahead.
Different groups. Different seasons of life. One mission.
May these new beginnings help our parish become an even more welcoming place for honest conversations, meaningful relationships, and encounters with Jesus.
