Why Is Easter Greater Than Christmas?

Our Holy Mother Church rejoices at Christmas, celebrating the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yet she proclaims Easter as the Feast of Feasts, the summit and center of the Christian life.

For the Son of God became man not simply to be born among us, but to redeem us through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, “The Resurrection of Jesus is the crowning truth of our faith in Christ” (CCC 638), and “the Paschal Mystery of Christ’s Cross and Resurrection stands at the center of the Good News” (CCC 571).

If Christ had not risen, His birth would not have accomplished our salvation. As Saint Paul declares, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:17). But because He is risen, sin is conquered, death is defeated, and the promise of eternal life is opened to all.

The Resurrection is not merely an event but it is the foundation of our faith. The Catechism affirms: “Christ’s Resurrection is the principle and source of our future resurrection” (CCC 655). It confirms all that He said and did, and reveals Him as truly Lord and Savior.

Thus, the Child laid in the manger is the Crucified and Risen Lord. The light of Easter reveals the full meaning of Christmas.

Therefore, the Church proclaims with unshakable faith: Christ is risen, truly He is risen!

Easter is the heart of the Paschal Mystery, the victory of life over death and it is this mystery that gives Christmas its full, saving, and eternal meaning.

On this glorious Easter Sunday, we rejoice in the light of the Risen Christ, where sorrow has turned to joy and death has given way to new life.

He is risen. Hope is alive.

Today, we celebrate the victory of love that conquered the grave and the promise of renewal for us all. In His resurrection, we are reminded that no darkness is greater than His light, and no ending is without the hope of a new beginning.

Let us come together in thanksgiving and praise:
6:30 AM – Encuentro
7:30 AM – Holy Mass

May our hearts be filled with joy, our lives renewed with hope, and our faith strengthened as we proclaim the Good News of His Resurrection.

Sábado de Gloria marks the passage from darkness into light, from silence into the joy of the Resurrection. As we gather in prayer, we begin with the lighting of the new fire—a symbol of Christ’s triumph over death—and renew our faith together as one community.

On this sacred night, we wait in hope as the stillness of the tomb gives way to the promise of new life. The flame that is kindled reminds us that no darkness can overcome His light, and no sorrow can overshadow the joy that is to come. In this vigil, we remember His saving love and rejoice in the grace that makes all things new.

Join us this sacred evening:
6:30 PM – Soledad
7:00 PM – Easter Vigil (Blessing of the New Fire and Water)

Come and experience the beauty of hope reborn. May this night awaken our hearts, strengthen our faith, and fill us with the joy of the Resurrection.

On this sacred Good Friday, we stand in silence beneath the shadow of the Cross, where love was poured out without measure, and mercy was given to the world.
By His wounds, we are healed. By His sacrifice, we are made new.

Today calls us to step away from the noise and enter into quiet reflection. In the stillness, we remember His suffering, His obedience, and the depth of His love that embraced the Cross for our sake.

Let us come together as one community in solemn devotion:
3:00 PM – Pagsimba sa Krus
5:00 PM – Procession sang mga Pasos

May our hearts be humbled, our spirits renewed, and our faith strengthened as we journey with Him through His passion.

On this sacred Maundy Thursday, we gather in remembrance of a love expressed through humility and service. In the quiet of the Upper Room, He knelt, not as a king above, but as a servant among His disciples.

In the washing of the feet, we are shown what it means to love, gently, selflessly, and without condition. It is a call to serve one another with open hearts, just as He has loved us.

As we begin this holy journey, may we pause, reflect, and allow His example to shape our lives, choosing kindness, forgiveness, and humble service each day.

4:00 PM - WASHING OF THE FEET

May this sacred Maundy Thursday draw us closer to Him and to one another.

VIA CRUCIS | 5:00 PM | EVERY FRIDAY

Mag-upod kita sa sini nga balaan nga pagpamalandong kag pangamuyo, agud ini nga Kuwaresma mangin matuod nga tion sang pagbag-o sang tagipusuon kag mas madalom nga pagtuo.

Miyerkoles sang Badlis
