"Pray the Rosary every day to obtain peace for the world..."

Today May 13th, we commemorate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, marking its 105th year of the first apparition of the Blessed Mother to three shepherd children in Portugal in 1917.

Considering the series of Marian apparitions in the Catholic Church, let us all look back and appreciate all the worthy beliefs. What has Fatima revealed made her heart attain triumph and save everyone.

INVITATION to all Student and Youth leaders, Animators, Campus and Youth Ministers, Chaplains, Formators, Teachers, Alumni, Filipino Citizen!

Bukas Loob: Sama samang Pagtatanim ng mga Puno (SCA Voterโ€™s Education and Campaign)
March 6, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The event calls every Filipino to have a strong concern for the community, place the common good above personal interest, and be willing and able to work in a group of people. The theme matters because this is one of the criteria in selecting leaders in this coming May 2022 election. Further, this is reflective of the movement's identity and mission in building a Christian community among the students and youth leaders, formators, and adults in colleges, universities, schools, parishes, and the country as a whole.

OVERCOMING ADVERSITIES THROUGH FAITH. "We must go back to the things that give us a boost, such as the sacraments, one of which is the confession. It opens us to reflect and learn from our mistakes and most of all, to forgive ourselves. In addition, the Learning of Faith opens us to pursue and be able to strengthen our faith in God. This enables us to be servant leaders with humility towards the acts of service." - Kazumi "Dy Kaz" Gidlayan

The SCAP UNO-R College Unit had their Learning of Faith Activity last January 29.2022. Diocesan Coordinator SCAn Steven Nelson "To Steve" Segura gave a topic highlighting the importance of the Sacraments in our lives.

According to Jan Yves "To Heinz" Alamillo, "Last night's activity delivers a message of enlightenment to those individuals who have gone through adversity and put their faith to the test. We may embrace our shortcomings and flaws and be free because we know that it is precisely those flaws that are linked to our strengths that become a representation of who we were created to be. During this activity, I learned that faith builds bridges and breaks down barriers. It teaches us to treat each other with integrity, respect, love, and accept diversity and commonality. Thus, faith is the gateway to love, hope, and mercy."

Shennah Mae "Dy Shennah" Madrejelado also said that "Spending a few minutes or more in silence not only strengthens our relationship with God, but it also allows us to reflect on ourselves and consider the importance of sacraments like confession and eucharist that we receive regularly. How we must be consistent in our confessions, be attentive to our sins (especially simple sins), and keep the eucharist every time we attend the mass. Consider how attentive we are to our acts and how consistent our faith is in our activities. God sends us instruments, such as our spiritual directors and mentors, to aid us when we feel alone and desolate and remind us that our religious path does not have to be a lonely one. According to To Steve, The instant we claim our efforts are sufficient, we lose our hope and faith. Let's always remember to appreciate others, especially those who are members of the church, and never be too tired to make a commitment to the church."

On this day, We celebrate the Solemnity of The Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.
Immaculate Conception is a โ€œRoman Catholic Dogmaโ€ asserted to Mary the Mother of Christ to reflect her innate purity and holiness. The title means that Mary is preserved and free of the original sin committed by Adam from the moment of her conception.

Today, November 21, 2021, we commemorate the Solemnity of Christ the King. The Feast of Christ the King, also known as the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, is a Roman Catholic celebration commemorating Jesus Christ's reign as Lord of All Creation.

Catholics commemorate the Solemnity of Christ the King on the last Sunday of the liturgical year. This feast, which was established in the twentieth century and is a relative newcomer to the Church calendar, is intended to pay special honor to Christ our Lord's dominion over all aspects of living

News is a credible source of information. It has empowered the Mass Public and delivered relevant knowledge that guided them in their decision process. It has been a watchdog, making waves of noise when people of authority go out of line.

However, such influence and power can also be destructive when it is manipulated. The rise of Fake News in social media is alarming. It creates division and conflict by establishing a fabricated truth. It empowers the public toward wrong causes and neutralizes the media's watchdog function, tainting its credibility - a reason why its rise must be stopped.

Indeed, in this time when technology is the mainstream, let us be vigilant and make fact-checking a habit. With that said, we, the members of SCAP UNO-R College Unit, stand firm in saying, NO TO FAKE NEWS.
