Happy Birthday to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church

Today, we joyfully celebrate the birthday of the Church, born on the great feast of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles gathered in prayer with the Blessed Virgin Mary. What began in a humble upper room in Jerusalem became a living and unstoppable mission that continues to transform hearts even today. The same Church founded by Christ more than two thousand years ago still stands firm, proclaiming the Gospel to every nation and generation.

The Church is not merely a building made of stone, nor simply an organization created by human hands. The Church is the living Body of Christ. She is our spiritual home, our mother in faith, and the vessel through which God continues to pour His grace into the world. Through the Church, we receive the Sacraments, hear the Word of God, encounter Christ in the Holy Eucharist, and learn how to walk in holiness.

We call her One because there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Despite different languages, cultures, and traditions, the faithful are united in Christ. She is Holy not because all her members are perfect, but because her founder is holy and because the Holy Spirit continually sanctifies her. She is Catholic because her mission is universal, embracing all people from every corner of the earth. And she is Apostolic because her teachings and authority come directly from the Apostles, entrusted to them by Jesus Himself.

Pentecost reminds us that the Church was born in fire, courage, and mission. The Apostles, once fearful and hiding, were transformed by the Holy Spirit into bold witnesses of Christ. That same Spirit continues to guide the Church today. In a world filled with confusion, division, and hopelessness, the Church remains a light that points humanity back to God.

As we celebrate the Churchโ€™s birthday, may we remember that we are not merely spectators in the faith. We are part of this living Church. Each baptized person is called to become a witness of Christ through love, prayer, kindness, forgiveness, and holiness of life.

May the Holy Spirit renew the Church once again and set our hearts on fire with faith, hope, and love.

Yesterday At 5:30 PM Novena Mass, the Holy Family became one of the sponsors for the Novena Mass dedicated to the Fiesta celebration. The Holy Mass began with a solemn procession led by Most Rev. Louie P. Galbines, STH, DD, together with the priests of St. John Nepomucene Parish.
During the Homily, Bishop Louie reflected on the First Reading, explaining the relationship between Jesus and His apostles. He shared that those who follow the Lord are all an โ€œAbian,โ€ which means friend or companion. He also highlighted the Lordโ€™s command โ€œLove one another as I have loved you.โ€

At the offertory, some famillians and Benedictine educators offered gifts for the Mass. The celebration then proceeded with the Communion Rite and Holy Communion. After Communion, St. John Nepomucene Parish prepared a candle offering in honor of St. John Nepomucene as a sign of love and devotion.

Before the Mass ended, everyone was encouraged to kneel in acknowledgment of Bishop Louie P. Galbines as the 7th Bishop of the Diocese of Bacolod. With hearts full of gratitude and joy, We welcomed Our 7th Bishop. Shortly after, Bishop Louie officially concluded the Holy Mass.

Today, we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord a reminder that Jesus returned to heaven after fulfilling His mission on earth. Before ascending, He blessed His disciples and promised to always guide them through the Holy Spirit.

This special day reminds us that Jesus is alive and continues to watch over us with love and mercy. As we celebrate His Ascension, may we keep our faith strong, trust in His plans, and continue spreading kindness and love to others.

May this day strengthen our faith, fill our hearts with hope, and remind us to continue walking with God every day.

-Fatima Prayer

Today is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima. She is best known for her 1917 Marian apparitions to the three shepherd children in Fatima, where she emphasized praying the Holy Rosary for world peace and warned of future conflicts.

Through the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, she encourages us to pray the Holy Rosary with faith, repent for our sins, and offer sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. She reminds us to trust in Godโ€™s mercy, live with holiness, and become instruments of peace and love in the world.

"Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us."๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ“ฟ

Flores de Mayo is a beautiful tradition celebrated from May 1 to May 31. It is a special time to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, especially during the season when flowers bloom. As we offer flowers, we also offer our prayers and devotion through the Holy Rosary, lifting our intentions to Mama Mary.

This month of May reminds us to come together with joyful hearts, sharing our faith through simple acts of love and devotion. Like flowers, may we continue to grow in kindness, humility, and faith.
As we begin this celebration, may Mama Mary guide us closer to Jesus. May this season bring peace, hope, and blessings to everyone.

We encourage everyone to join and take part in Flores de Mayo in your respective purok or parish.๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน

Today, we celebrate the boundless mercy and love of God that is always open to each one of us. No matter how many times we fall or make mistakes, His forgiveness is never far away. He invites us to come back to Him with humble and sincere hearts, trusting that He will always welcome us with unending love and compassionate heart.

This special day reminds us that Godโ€™s mercy is greater than our sins, our fears, and our doubts. It is a call for us not only to receive His mercy, but also to share it with others by forgiving, understanding, and showing kindness even in the simplest ways. Through His mercy, we are renewed, strengthened, and given hope to begin again.

Let us continue to trust in Him, especially in times when life becomes difficult or uncertain. May we always remember that we are never alone, because His love and mercy are always with us, guiding and protecting us each day.

Araw ng Kagitingan is celebrated every April 9 to honor the bravery of Filipino soldiers during World War II, especially in the Bataan Death March.

It reminds us that courage is not just in war. As Familians, we can be brave by doing what is right, helping others, and staying strong in challenges.

Even small acts of courage matter.

This Easter Sunday reminds us that no matter how heavy the past days have been, hope always rises again.

For us Familians, itโ€™s a fresh startโ€”a chance to grow, forgive, and do better. After struggles, stress, and mistakes, we are reminded that we can always begin again.

Let us carry this hope in our heart. May we choose to be kinder, stronger, and more faithful each day.

Just like Easter, new beginnings are always possible.

That in all things, God may be glorified!

Black Saturday feels quietโ€”and sometimes even a bit empty. Itโ€™s like those days when we feel stressed, unsure, or not okay, even without a clear reason.

Today, it reminds us that itโ€™s okay to slow down. We donโ€™t have to figure everything out right away.

Familians, let's take a break, breathe, and be patient with ourself. Even in uncertainty, something better is coming.

That in all things, God may be glorified.

Today is Good Friday, a day of silence, sacrifice, and deep reflection. Instead of seeking comfort or distraction, let us remember the meaning of this dayโ€”a reminder of love, humility, and redemption.

Ask yourself: What burdens do I need to let go of? How can I become more compassionate? In what ways can I grow to be better for others?

As Familians, we choose reflection over noise, sacrifice over ease, and faith over fear. Let this be a moment of prayer, repentance, and renewal.

True peace is found in a heart that is humble and sincere.

That in all things, God may be glorified.
