Today, we concluded the third and final day of our triduum in honor of our beloved Patron Saint, St. Benedict. United as one community of faith, we offered our prayers and intentions to God through his intercession with grateful and joyful hearts. As we reflected on his life, we were inspired to grow in prayer, humility, discipline, and faithful service.

Together, we also raised our voices in singing his hymn, giving thanks for his holy example that continues to lead us closer to Christ.
As we joyfully await the celebration of his feast day, may St. Benedict continue to guide us in living lives rooted in faith, wisdom, peace, and love for God and others.

Today, we continued the second day of our triduum as we honored our Patron Saint, St. Benedict. We gathered in prayer, offering all our intentions to God through his intercession. We reflected on his teachings and his Rule of Life, learning the importance of balancing prayer, work, and service. We also joyfully sang his hymn and reflected on his life of humility, peace, and unwavering trust in God.

May St. Benedict continue to strengthen our faith, guide us in living a life of prayer and service, and fill our hearts with peace as we prepare for the celebration of his feast day.

Today, we began the first day of our triduum as we honored our Patron Saint, St. Benedict. We gathered in prayer, offering all our intentions to God through his intercession. We also portrayed the early life of St. Benedict and his first few miracles, and joyfully sang his hymn as we reflected on his life of faith, humility, and holiness.

May St. Benedict continue to guide and inspire us throughout these three days of prayer as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of his feast day.

With hearts united in prayer, our school community gathered to celebrate the First Friday Mass, honoring the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and celebrating the Feast Day of St. Thomas the Apostle.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Norman Egay, who, in his homily, reminded us that through the example of St. Thomas the Apostle, moments of doubt can become opportunities for deeper faith when we continue to seek the Lord with sincere hearts.

May the love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus inspire us to become instruments of compassion, forgiveness, and hope. Like St. Thomas the Apostle, may we find the courage to move beyond our uncertainties, place our complete trust in God, and boldly proclaim Him in our daily lives through faith, service, and love.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, the faithful servant chosen by God to prepare the way for the coming of Jesus Christ. He courageously called people to repentance and baptized them in the Jordan River, helping them prepare their hearts for the Savior. St. John is also known as the one who baptized Jesus, humbly recognizing Him as the promised Messiah.

The Church celebrates the birth of St. John the Baptist because of his unique role in God's plan of salvation. Through his life, he pointed others to Christ and taught the importance of humility, faith, and obedience to God.

As we honor St. John the Baptist today, may we follow his example by preparing the way for the Lord in our own lives, leading others closer to Christ through our words and actions. We are also encouraged to participate in the Holy Mass and prayerfully celebrate his feast with gratitude and faith.

Yesterday, the Young Familian Proclaimers (YFP) from different batches came together to serve during the Holy Mass celebrating the 60th Founding Anniversary of our beloved school, Holy Family High School Bacolod.

The Mass was presided over by Most Reverend Louie P. Galbines, together with seven priests from different parishes. Our Missionary Benedictine Sisters also participated in the celebration as members of the choir. Alumnae and current students likewise served as readers and altar servers during the Mass.

In his homily, Bishop Louie joyfully celebrated the school's 60th founding anniversary, leading everyone in 60 claps of thanksgiving. He offered prayers and blessings for the continued growth and abundance of the school, expressing gratitude for its past and present while looking forward with hope to its future. During the Offertory, the gifts were offered by the Alumnae Officers, the HFHS-B Community, the GPTA, and the students. After the acknowledgments, Bishop Louie officially concluded the Holy Mass.

Following the Holy Mass, everyone proceeded to the new Senior High School building for its blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Mother Lumen Gloria Dunca, OSB, Mr. Ramon Uy, the Rotary Club of Bacolod North, the Indian Community, and our generous sponsors.

On June 5, 2026 The Young Familian Proclaimers proudly showcased the different activities and ministries that help students grow closer to God while serving the school community. Through the guidance and support of our Club Moderator ๐Œ๐ฌ ๐„๐ฆ๐ž๐ž ๐“๐š๐›๐ข๐ง๐จ, YFP continues its mission of serving God through faith, talents, and active participation.

One of the highlights of our presentation was showing everyone that YFP is not a serious, scary, or intimidating club. On the opposite side, our club is filled with color, joy, friendship, and meaningful experiences. We believe that serving God can be both fun and fulfilling!
YFP is open to students from Grades 8โ€“10.

We encourage everyone to be part of our growing family because YFP is still accepting new members!

Happy Birthday to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church

Today, we joyfully celebrate the birthday of the Church, born on the great feast of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles gathered in prayer with the Blessed Virgin Mary. What began in a humble upper room in Jerusalem became a living and unstoppable mission that continues to transform hearts even today. The same Church founded by Christ more than two thousand years ago still stands firm, proclaiming the Gospel to every nation and generation.

The Church is not merely a building made of stone, nor simply an organization created by human hands. The Church is the living Body of Christ. She is our spiritual home, our mother in faith, and the vessel through which God continues to pour His grace into the world. Through the Church, we receive the Sacraments, hear the Word of God, encounter Christ in the Holy Eucharist, and learn how to walk in holiness.

We call her One because there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Despite different languages, cultures, and traditions, the faithful are united in Christ. She is Holy not because all her members are perfect, but because her founder is holy and because the Holy Spirit continually sanctifies her. She is Catholic because her mission is universal, embracing all people from every corner of the earth. And she is Apostolic because her teachings and authority come directly from the Apostles, entrusted to them by Jesus Himself.

Pentecost reminds us that the Church was born in fire, courage, and mission. The Apostles, once fearful and hiding, were transformed by the Holy Spirit into bold witnesses of Christ. That same Spirit continues to guide the Church today. In a world filled with confusion, division, and hopelessness, the Church remains a light that points humanity back to God.

As we celebrate the Churchโ€™s birthday, may we remember that we are not merely spectators in the faith. We are part of this living Church. Each baptized person is called to become a witness of Christ through love, prayer, kindness, forgiveness, and holiness of life.

May the Holy Spirit renew the Church once again and set our hearts on fire with faith, hope, and love.
