Why me?

When I was 14 years old, I was diagnosed with a rare case of Didelphys Uterus and an absent right kidney. I felt like Heavenly Father didn’t love me. I felt so dark and hopeless, and I really questioned the Lord: “Why did He allow me to have a problem like that? Why me?” But I realized how selfish those thoughts were.

Before my surgery happened, I prayed to the Lord and asked for forgiveness. I told Him I trusted Him no matter what happened in my operation.

Putting my trust in the Lord always helps me. No matter what happens to me, He is always there. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can find hope. He never forgets me, and I know Heavenly Father loves me as His beloved daughter. I hope my story will inspire other youth to put their trust in the Lord no matter what struggles they are facing right now. —Desiree
